Imagine what Tommy Hodson would have done with Spurrier coaching him and calling the plays for 3 years?

Perilloux is the biggest, IMHO.

Yeah, because missing on him is way bigger than missing on Spurrier.

Missing on Bowden in the 80s was also big.

The biggest miss of all was not retaining Saban in 2004. And save the BS about her m going to the pros. If the money was right we could have retained him.

Can someone explain the McCoy angle here?
McCoy was talking to LSU when RP committed to UT. He was a project 3star IIRC and I don't think LSU was as hot on him as some believe.

1)Not beating FSU in 79, along the lines of Bo's plane and Bowdoin maybe also ending up at LSU

2) Not hiring DD 82 years ago so we would have won 2 SEC's while Bama, UF and UGA have won 40 (lol, just teasing). I support the team and respect what she has done since we got 1st class facilities..

3) Not keeping Mark Emmeret after certain BOS members fought him on AD decision

Those are obvious missed opportunities.

I'd mention all of the misses at qb LSU has had.

Not to rub salt in the wound but RP became a damn good QB at J State (FCS). He put up monster numbers and won Offensive Player of the Year in his conferencs.

The Ben Simmons era gets my vote to be on the list of missed opportunities.

The fact that energy prices were sky high and skip Bertman didn’t even care enough to get pat henry locker rooms is quite telling of his ego

Not beating Florida State at home in 1979. At the time Bobby Bowden had a offer on the table from LSU to replace Cholly Mac. He has stated that he was undecided and told his wife. If we can go into Baton Rouge and beat LSU I know we can build something at Florida State. If we can’t then it is probably best if we take the LSU job. Florida State won 24-19 and the rest is history. But it does raise the question of what might have happened if he had come to LSU.

Oklahoma St. losing to Iowa State in 2011

The impact of that game has been grossly overstated by this board. I believe Alabama would STILL have been selected for the FBSNC game 1/9/2012.

- 1/9/12

- Archer over Spurrier

- Slaughter's savage slide into second last year. LSU had all of the momentum at that point in the game and Lange ready to go in game 3. That call likely cost LSU the game and the CWS.

- F King Alexander vs (insert name of any competent human here)

I didn't grow in LA in didn't get to LSU until a few years after he died. What made the hope in him so great? Not trying to be a smart arse, but his HC record was 27-18-1. You can downvote all you want - I'd just like to know what everyone thought.

We already had Colt David. We needed full grown horses at the time, not another Colt.
