I would give her one more year and make her hire new coaches. Program is stale. I think she has always had the same coaches.

I think half the bitching on here Is unreasonable but I see nothing wrong with the OP's post.

Beth has been a solid coach but things are trending downwards. She doesn't deserve to be fired but changes are needed because things do seem stale. You have talented athletes not developing in spots and some are regressing. They are 22-15 having lost 8 of their last 10 games and they seem to be playing worse in every aspect of the game right now. We haven't been back to OKC since 2017 and have been losing more games each year since 2018. We are making Supers which is good but they are 1-6 in their last 7 games when they got there.

I've been a big Beth fan and have defended her for quite some time but something has to give. I want her to succeed but she has to look in the mirror and make the changes necessary to try to improve.

Leftwich for one who works specifically with catchers and part time with hitters. Dobson who has his great speeches but just doesn't cut it with the hitters. Beth needs to give up coaching third, she just doesn't have that type of softball IQ. Should definitely bring in Waljasper to work with pitchers and should have really tried to keep Sharonda McDonald. It will never happen though....too close knit of a group.

Yeah, that's really what we should be worried about.
Don't get it twisted, Beth has a homerun or two in recruiting. Waljasper and Landry were awesome gets. Wasn't real hard with Landry though as she was a hometown girl. Hoover fell in to her lap and had more to do with Emily Griggs father than Beth's recruiting. Other than that, what has she had as far as All Americans? Alleyah was a legacy recruit. Briggs and Coffey may turn out to be on the wall but Beth's specialty is supposed to be pitching. She really should take a long look in the mirror and take on a more of a facilitator role instead of trying to teach softball 101.

Just adding to what you are discussing.
In one of the recent games the announcers commented that the Houshmandzadeh girls’ father was the person that made Torina aware of Ali Kilponen as a potential recruit.

Yes and she was very....very, raw when she came in. But with her measurables, she should be further along than she is and should be the undeniable Ace of the staff. I do beleive if she was at Alabama or Florida you would see her potential show way more than it does now.

Nope. Not another year unless she gets rid of softball Tepper.

The program is absolutely stale and is mired in the Meds.......
