I think Beth has gotten to the point where she thinks she owns the job and is untouchable.
“Family” is fine to a certain extent, but someone posted something on the softball FB page with which I heartily agree—Beth needs to be a coach and not a mother figure to these players.
That doesn’t mean be a tyrant, but it’s hard to imagine Beth emulating Kim Mulkey when the latter said in a press conference, “they may not see the floor again” after the scrubs played sloppily in garbage time of a blowout win. And Kim kept her promise.
Beth better be willing to prioritize winning and shake things up or it will cost her her job.

You are right about the AD and his own probs! The money making sports are in disarray (football team <500 on season, whole basketball team in the portal) so you are probably right that softball isn't even on his radar for problem solving this year!!

I hope we can turn this game around. I love watching girls SB. But lately we just give so many games away. Wish Beth would be a little more emotional on the field. she seems like a statute out there. Holler and kick some dirt around and some hand clapping.

Torina’s family values are respected and appreciated. However she is paid to coach and keep the fans interested and supporting a winner. I think BT needs a rude awakening. Last year she flirted with aTm, kicking up her salary. The team has regressed and BT is very casual and maybe acting entitled. She has to fix the problems, it’s culture and personnel and COACHING!!! $&€t or get off the pot….she got her facilities, salary and fan support!!
