No way. He won't be able to hold a bat, unless he can swing with one arm like a caveman.

Laviolette was an LSU commit before he flipped. I wonder if he regrets that decision.

Hate it for the kid, that injury looked really bad.

I talked to his dad when they came play here. His dad made it sound like it was all b/c Jay Johnson wasn't really interested in Jace. Thus the flip after CPM left.
I don't think he regrets it as much as Jay Johnson regrets not showing more interest.

His college career is over. That kind of splint is not for a day to day injury.

Maybe, maybe not. He had the chance to come here after last year and chose not to.

A&M Team Manager said he's out for tournament.

A&M had

4 hits
3 walks
3 hit by pitch

Every game is different (and A&M had 10 hits against State yesterday) but limiting the walks and hit batters will be key as usual.

A) He ate himself out of a pinch running role in the offseason.

B) Why open him up that additional risk, when surely there is someone on the roster faster than him that could fill that role.

Do you pitch to win one game? If it’s close are you using your best relief arms? Or coach to win the tourney?

Additionally, we’ll be facing their #3 starter, and their top BP arm threw 34 pitches today.
