And he just said secretly said he'd coach the LBs.

Has Orgeron ever been a LB's coach? Just curious.

Can we not have this?
DC- Pendergast
DL-Orgeron
LB-Haley
DB- Raymond

Or do we have a limit of how many coaches we can have?

So if a QB makes a bad throw once in a while, no thats not the OC. But if a QB consistently makes bad throws, then yes hat is the OC's responsibility.

I'm guessing you do not remember who our HC is or remember the JJ/JL debacle of 2011. Les ultimately has the final say in things.

Makes you wonder why Cameron keeps getting fired. Seems to be an overly compensated retrend that is lucky to be pals with Miles.
Hard to believe an offense could be so bad

But I guarantee you weren't questioning his OC abilities last season.

How does it work regarding a DC and the defensive position coaches? How much input does the DC have regarding who his hired and maintained?

It was said the assistant coaches all agreed to a new contract except Chavis. Does that mean that whoever comes in can't bring in his own people? Or in the case of hiring Orgeron, does the new DC have a say so in wether he is offered?

t baffles me that people blame the OC for AJs failure to execute. CC did a good job masking the lack of qb position this year as best as one could hope.

So the OC (head of the offensive coaching staff) at LSU has no say in identifying, recruiting or developing competent QB play?????

How about dumping that 1.3M waste of an OC?

I guess you decided to CONTINUE drinking straight into the New Year.

What is the rule for that? I've never heard? Is it an NCAA or SEC rule?

Yes, there is a limit. You could have the above scenario if Peveto is moved to admin. Or if new legislation is passed by this NCAA Power 5 autonomy movement that would allow an additional assistant.

Again, look what he did last season. Give the man a competent qb and I guarantee the offense will fire on all cylinders. Look at the improvement in OBJ, JL, ZM etc after his first season at LSU. Do you really think AJ is being "held back" by an OC or Jjust maybe he is not the man for the job. Then again I bet you are the type of person that thinks Les listens to his staff 100% and doesn't do what les wants to do. I am the first to admit that our offense wasn't great this year but it's not a OC problem. Imagine shaping your offense around trying to avoid your qb at all costs. Not an easy task. When Harris was in the game, (minus the Auburn game) our offense was rolling. It's a qb and a HC issue plain and simple.

Nothing special about the year before and this past season was abysmal.
Not sure who could not have done well with the talent we had last season. NFL team on the field.

It just makes too much sense for this to happen.

Especially for Leslie Miles, the most unorthodox coach out there. By now you know Les doesn't do the obvious , unless its running the LSU offense, then we know all 8 plays.

I don't know about that but there were rumors that Frank and Coach O don't get along. But it was a rumor I heard years ago.

Pretty sure the rule is a limit of 9 coaches on staff

Not as well so what changed? All of a sudden, one more year of experience made them shine?
Who knows but having close to the absolute worse QB and passing game in all of college football is simply unacceptable at a program of LSU's quality. The one constant for the last decade have been QBs recruited by Miles and taught by his OCs.
