Baker will leave next year , we should sign a letter of intent with Aranda. He is a great DC

I don't begrudge him. He did great things for LSU and took his shot.

Hope nothing but the best for him.

Oh I’m aware. I’m a big aranda fan.
I’m just not sure he is suited to this era of college football.
Sort of like Bo Pelini when he came back to LSU.

Tough pill to swallow. Baylor is 2 pts away from being 6-1.

Exactly. I'm not sure what people expect from Baylor, particularly in this era. In the scope of their football history, Aranda winning a conference championship and Sugar Bowl was rather remarkable.

I'm not necessarily saying Baylor should have kept Aranda, but there's no reason to believe the next guy can do significantly better if their NIL situation doesn't drastically change somehow.

He shot his shot. Someone's going to get a helluva DC--unfortunately, probably in the SEC.

Send the plane to Waco and hire him as an analyst for 100K to scout opponents for the remainder of the season.

People really do not understand what happened when Bo came back to LSU. They love to blame him for everything, but nearly all of the issues on that defense were linked to two things, Covid year and then O being a complete moron and control freak.

O insisted on switching back to a 4-3 when Aranda had built our defense as a 3-4 system up through the NC. We didn’t have the personnel to run what O insisted on and then add in shutdowns, opt-outs and limited spring practice due to COVID and you got that disaster.

There is a reason Bama was able to win so easily in 2020. They had continuity in their staff and players. That is entirely why.

No wasn’t washed. He just got grandes a shite situation and a moron for a head coach.

Some good Coordinators are only a shell of themselves after being away from that position for so long.

Baylor’s NIL situation is probably due to Aranda. Boosters stop sending money when they want a coach out. It’s always been this way.

Aranda will be fine. Pelini had been out of coaching and before that was coaching at Youngstown which is FCS. Aranda has been active in Power 4 football the entire time.
