to Sage Ryan

His REC production on a team like OU is impressive but we gotta make sure this Bauer guy doesn't attempt a throw again

He was at Southeastern before going to OU.

Welcome Bauer!

Solid Mason Taylor replacement.

Im glad we got him but he's not remotely close to a Mason Taylor replacement.

Sharp dropped some passes this year but he's a good athlete (nice size and speed) who has potential as a pass catcher. I think he'd do well in a good passing offense unlike the abysmal passing offense he played in this season at OU. On the other hand he's an awful blocker - the worst blocker on the team by a wide margin. He's not an inline TE - should only be used split out.

Not really. He was a QB the first season when he redshirted, then played TE for two seasons before going to Oklahoma.

Thanks sooner. Luckily for us, we here on the rant know more than coaches like Venables, Kelly, or Freeze.

Very few players care about the QB or what’s best for their development. They are kids chasing maximum cash, and that’s all that matters. Hard to blame them, but it’s all it is.

Do you think Daniels has a better chance to get to the NFL from elsewhere? Or has he just given up on that?

Watch the play carefully. It was Bradyn Swinson and him being disciplined that blew up the play.

He has already thrown more passes in tiger stadium than Russell Shepard and he hasn’t even played for us yet!

53.4 PFF overall grade, 54.9 run blocking grade

Not particuarly. We are taking 2 TEs so would assume this is the "#2" of that, but still, not exactly a great pickup.

You will have a lot of people reference "he led OU in receiving this year" - OUs like top 6 WRs were all hurt and out this season and had some walk ons playing WR. This guy led by default basically, he had only 324 yards on 42 catches. His receiving grade from PFF was 59.2.

Just seems like a waste of a pickup, we need TE#2 to be a blocker next season unless they think LaFleur can immediately provide a lot of that. Would have made more sense to go out and get a blocker and then a big time receiver as TE#1 at TE.

Yeah and he is rated the 5th best TE in the portal on ON3 so that tells you what is out ther.

Looked decently fast on that clip from the Missouri game and hurdled that would be tackler. But yeah, I'm guessing he isn't the best blocker just from his frame. Great input and looks to be spot on.
