What are the odds he gets into the weekend rotation? What would it honestly take?
Disaster from one of the other 3 weekend guys.
It’s not a good thing if he makes it into the weekend rotation. But it’ll be nice to have him able to step in if needed

Yes, there was one @ 7:00. Saturday and Sunday are scheduled for 2:00 starts.

Are the infielders all sub 7.0? Are OFs around 7.0 ? Maybe a tad higher?

Watson, Broussard, Duplantis, Smith, Hughes, Cabrera are all sub 7.0’s.
Mathis, Garza, whoever starts at 1B are over 7.0’s.

Thanks Adam.
I think a nice addition would be to include a link to the previous years write up in the OP.

According to Dandy Don, PM said Vietmeier has really come on and will be a key bullpen arm. From your preview it looks like you have him pegged as a midweek blow out kinda guy.
Has he made significant improvement as of late? Appreciate the previews!

I think some other freshmen are going to pass him up eventually. I hope I’m wrong but there’s obviously not enough innings to go around on the weekends.
Right now I think he’s a mid week guy or someone to eat up innings for large margin games.

I look forward each year to your analysis and thoughts on the LSU baseball team. I also enjoy your thoughts and comments throughout the season. Thank you so much for your time and effort which greatly enhances my “Tiger Rant” reading pleasure.

I think Veitmeier will be fine. He was coming off of thoracic outlet surgery last season. From what I can tell, that next season for a pitcher is usually pretty bad, but they bounce back after that. Veitmeier has good enough stuff to contribute.
I expect Marceaux to lock down a weekend spot, but I think Hill will get 2 or 3 weekend starts. I think they're going to want to manage the innings of Marceaux and Walker, maybe Hess too (but probably not), and have them skip a weekend throughout the season. And Hill will slide in there and get the weekend start, getting him some experience for Saturdays next year.
Hill is related to Cedric Harris (nephew I think). Cedric Harris helps with the Stick Arkansas baseball program we recruited Hill from. Today I learned he married former LSU and WNBA player Marie Ferdinand. I think it would be prudent to just throw out scholarship offers to all of their kids for whatever sport they decide to play.

Scuba, what do you think of the idea that Henry, etc. should take a few mid/late season weekend starts from Marceaux & Walker to rest their arms for the post-season run? Could this help the late season problems that we have seen re Walker, Labas, Hillard, etc.?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I really hope I am wrong and that he turns the corner, I’m trying to limit my expectations much the same as Gilbert.
