Adam, I look forward to this read first thing every morning. Today I was up at 7, so it should have been posted by 7. Hit your deadlines, or we are going to have to turn to Ell's rankings instead.

Anyone have the record since LSU's started recording?

Say 3 our fathers and 2 hail Marys and all will be forgiven. Just don't continue to live in sin, otherwise you will go straight to hell.

Great write up today, as usual.

Completely forgot Goatbrera can pitch too. Though I expect he doesn’t do too much pitching anymore. I’m so excited about this team. Can’t wait for this season to get started.

Just catching up, have you ever given an 80 to a position at LSU before like this year's outfield?

Never to my knowledge. I’ve come close with some 70’s maybe even one 75.

To put an 80 I’m saying LSU’s outfield is the best in college this year. I really believe they are.

No I think this group shouldn't be regarded as "the best" right now because there are minor question marks at each spot.

I do think by season's end it will be a much higher grade than I gave them.

Our rotations this year reminds me a lot of Florida's rotation last year. A good mix of leadership and youth. I think Hess will have a very Singer-like season, and our young guns will come out slingin.

Some ULM notes: LINK

Expect us to face either Jacob Barton or Trey Jeans on Friday.

Here's a quote that gives some insight to how the coaching staff is approaching the opening weekend: "It's a regional atmosphere," Federico said. "That's a place that year in and year out hosts regionals. We're a four seed and they're a one seed. That's how I look at it. We're also going into it knowing that we want to get two out of three that weekend, which we'll try to do every weekend."

I've said before, they're loaded up with JUCO transfers. The new coach is trying to turn over the roster and win quickly. He's got a challenge in changing the culture there.

Why didn't Smith get a medical redshirt? Showing him as a JR.

He will likely be drafted anyway.
