He was definitely up against the shadow of WW, but saying that no one wanted him to be successful or tried to help him in any way - I know for a FACT that is not true.
That's pure rationalizing the failures.

You are arguing with people whose position is not based in any sort of facts or logic. It's simply a contrarian position for the sake of being a contrarian. When one side of a discussion is unwilling to consider logic then there is no sense in continuing the discussion. You can't make the illogical consider logical positions.
EVERY coach that follows a success, well liked coach, does so in the shadow of the former coach. That's not unique to LSU. You're seeing it now with Deboer at Alabama. Steven Pearl is working in the shadow of his father.
More directly, Les had to operate in the shadow of Saban when he first arrived. Fans were not sold on Les in year 1...despite the fact he went 10-1 and won the SEC West...in comparison with Saban going 9-2 (with a blowout loss to UGA) the year prior. But Les did something to get out from that shadow that McMahon has never done. He won! He was 22-4 in his first two seasons and won a NC in year 3. In 2007 LSU loved Les in comparison to Saban who was going 7-6 that season. It was only after Saban started dominating the SEC did Les fall out of favor with LSU fans
MM has had 4 years to build at least one good team at LSU (no, backing into an NIT isn't "good"). He hasn't. That's not the fans' fault or the donors' fault. It the fault of the ONE common denominator in LSU basketball for the last 4 seasons.
It was clear in year 1 to anyone willing to pay attention just how overwhelmed he was by this level of competition. Yet, fans have had to suffer through 3 more years of what was quickly evident. MOVE.ON!

Yes move on and get a real college basketball coach, not a fraud!

NGL, I kinda feel like it's my fault LSU is stuck with McMahon.

MM has been bad from the point they announced he was the next basketball! Just move on fire his arse so we can wash off all the stink from the last 4 years, and then put this behind us like it never happened!

He could have UNLV's championship lineup of Augmon, Johnson, Hunt, Anthony, and Scurry and we would still lose. He is just not a good coach and doesn't have a feel for the game (who is hot, rotations etc).

Then you have to fire his staff. Then you have to hire a new coach and a new staff. Then you need to pay players.
Its a larger financial commitment then people think
I could see a world where they just let it go until next year and then let him expire and hire someone new

This makes zero sense since Woody gave him seven years. Three friggin years after this debacle. Can you imagine?

I think you are talking to wrong people. All signs point to him being gone at seasons end.

You keep repeating this bullshite.
Fans have ZERO effect on results.

I thought it was a pretty well-known fact that MM was well-liked amongst the MBB power brokers. They are a different breed from the football power brokers, and there is really not much overlap (there is a little) outside of the administration and BOS.

I don’t even think you believe that. You just refuse to admit your “anyone but Will Wade” stance has been a disaster.

“Factually” pahahahahaha
Almost as insane as the “it’s the rims in the PMAC’s fault”

Factually, he has mostly recruited a bunch of bums and can’t coach at this level. DRACONIAN sanctions have nothing to do with this.

I don't think he's even that bad of a coach,
Probably because you’re a fricking retard.

the support wasn't there from day one because people, including those with say-so, are still pining for the ghost of the previous coach.
Cope, pussy.

You've been told wrong....I've heard from a reputable source that big donors are ready to get him out of there

They are better off paying some nobody peanuts when McMahon cant beat anybody in conference
Is hiring some nobody who might be able to get us on the NCAA tournament bubble worth taking 20-25 million from football? If you say yes, you're lying.

You are insane. Wade has completely broken you.
