They could lose, but they aren't gonna get blown out.

Do you think people would believe that Georgia is better than LSU after just getting beat by them in the SEC championship? What would be more relevant than just beating them in a very pro- Georgia crowd? The loss in the first game of the season isn’t enough of a separation in my opinion

And the Dawgs dominated UT.

is it really crazy to put us ahead of Georgia if we beat them in the championship game a couple hours before they make their CFP selections? We’d have the better resume excluding a fluke XP from week one 3 whole months ago, while coming off a victory against them in their own backyard.

Should LSU beat Georgia, they hold 3 top ten wins and two of which in the top 5 against the two teams that were in the playoff last season (at time of victory) , as underdogs. Regardless of margin of victory. Georgia has been the undisputed best team in America, this season. USC has struggled against multiple teams with losing records. Clemson was all but done by media and fans alike after the ND loss. There is a reason the committee had LSU as a 2 loss team in the top ten when everyone else thought they were smoking crack and I’m sure there will be a few folk who’ll say it was in Alabama’s favor. They are looked at quite favorably. They will be 5th or 6th, tonight, and likely 4-5th by the time the Georgia game is about. Should they beat Georgia, they won’t be snubbed.

well done, Tigers. We even have Georgia fans now using transitive property to try and make a case for themselves against us.

I smell FEAR. What a year it’s been.

Win and we are in. If you just look at next Saturday, you say LSU beat UGA head to head and won the SEC championship, how do they pick UGA over LSU?

can't

But i think USC drops one so no worries.

We would have two big advantages over Georgia if it came down to that. Head to head win and conference champions. No way should we get left out, but who knows?

That's not transitive property, those are facts.

But you do you.

It's hard to believe LSU would beat the undefeated #1, defending Nat'l Champ basically in their house, and be left on the sidelines.

I don't see it happening, but we're hypothesizing as to what would occur if it did. The team which just beat "that" team would not be left out.

Perspective though:
2019 was LSU -7 vs UGA
2022 is UGA -15 vs LSU

If the leave LSU out, it will end conference championship games for good. There would be zero reason for any team to play in them.

If we win the SEC and get left out then so be it.

A major success of a year and it would devalue the title this year if you put in Georgia who lost the SEC over LSU who beat Georgia to win the SEC.

Just enjoy the ride

Exactly. It would be just like the 2001 season. That was my 4th favorite year behind 2019, 2003, and 2007, and before the 2011 season. I'll take an SEC championship and Sugar Bowl victory any year.

zero historical precedent to suggest that's true.

Oklahoma 2003. They, like UGA, were heads and tails above everyone on the regular season.

If we beat 3 top 10 teams, sec champs, why shouldn't we be in?
