I don't think they have direct proof of this today. However, if they're allowed to subpoena phone records and other communications they may get that proof.
Remember LSU is operating under the claim that the TRO suit was organic by the players only.
That's my fear.
Also I fear that this suit will also be seen as retaliatory LSU action against the SEC and we get thrown back in the fire again

Is there an SEC bylaw that states member institutions of employees thereof can’t encourage or recommend to others to hire an attorney and possibly go to court?

LSU conspiring to sue the SEC to use a sympathetic state court to revoke the SEC's enforcement authority has always been the major issue that the SEC has singled out LSU.
Violating SEC rules and vicariously attacking the conference is clearly a big deal to the other teams in the SEC.

The player from Texas is not seen the same as these 2 guys LSU tried.
Hell, LSU signed another player (Tuihalamaka) who is seen differently as these 2 guys and he isn't an issue.

The thing with these players is that it's not some sort of hypothetical. They had a roster spot on LSU that under threat from the SEC and other 15 schools was revoked from them. I know that they don't have the same NIL value as Chambliss, but the players can point to him as a player that is ineligible based on current NCAA rules, but the SEC is allowing to play based on a court order while they aren't allowed to play even though they have a court order. The SEC should be on the hook for lost NIL earnings and harm of 1 year of athletic development that will depress future NFL earnings.

They were never truly eligible and LSU could never guarantee a scenario where LSU could roster them and avoid severe sanction.
That's an LSU problem. Not an SEC problem.
We should have never tried to use a loophole/grey area and acted so aggressively. We have too much at stake.

Thanks. I thought he sued both. Still not seeing any legal cause of action or violation of an SEC rule to encourage players to assert their legal rights.
