Blame coaching. Blame Umps. Whatever you want. W.F. Was just a little better than us last night.
Our pitching was good. Their pitching was great.
We got our runs on a mis played ball in left field.
They got enough hits to win it.
I don’t think lsu played poorly. W.F just played better.

They are the better team most nights, probably 7
out of 10.
out of 10.

They played like shite. 2 big errors and the guy who got blinded by the son.

I struggle with this concept because I think it was about even.
They had 5 hits and so did we.
We got screwed in the 6th and a call in the 8th didn’t go our way.
If the ump calls Morgan safe then I wouldn’t have been overturned. I’m not mad that Morgan was called out, I’m just upset it didn’t get called in our favor.

Hard one to lose. We didn’t get timely hits.

Too much weird baseball to really tell who the better team was. Which is the real shame, because I can take losing to a clearly better team, but after this season both teams deserved better.

That kind of logic and sanity doesn’t belong in here!
I happen to agree and think it was a great game. Yes it sucks my beloved Tigers lost, but as Ted Lasso says that’s why you play the game. If we knew the outcome what fun would there be in that?

Bottom line, the offense didn't produce last night. Even Crews had a bad night at the plate. The pitching was good enough to win the game if the bats had even an adequate night. They did not. Hope they wake up!

I do think that coaching was better.

Tell me how the first error cost them?

The umpire was so bad it helped both pitchers dominate the batters except fir one half inning.
I’d like to see these two teams play with the ump we had Saturday night. He was good.
The guy last night was a joke.

It's always amusing when people say stuff like this. "The other team was better despite the umps" completely ignoring what effect the umps had. If the ump called the strike zone correctly, WF never gets 2 runs to tie the game. Their pitching was very average but the ump decided sliders well below the knee - for their pitchers - were strikes most of the night. The ump 100% affected the outcome of the game.

If the UMP calls the game correctly, Floyd may have never settled in as well as he did. It was huge for us with Floyd on the mound getting that ridiculous strike zone to start the game. He was getting calls just as generous way off the plate

You are freaking clueless if you think Wake’s pitching was average.

We had a good team this year, probably two injuries away from being as good as wake and florida. That's the way it goes sometimes. Last night was a must win and we couldn't get the w. Good year though. Jj will get us back to Omaha soon.

Exactly, but so did the WF pitcher.
I saw high strikes and low strikes called in the same half inning. One could have been a strike, but both couldn’t be.
The ump helped the pitchers dominate.

I put the blame on coaching. Can a coach go talk to the ump after so many bad calls at the plate in college bb? Both of them should have, didn't see it if they did. Tre should have never gone on contact unless it was to the ss, 2nd, or 1st. You learn this in LL but they gave him a green light, so coaching. Putting the 3rd baseman close to the third base line so extra bases was out of the question on a ground ball, again good coaching. Calling the WF batter over to talk to the 3rd base coaching and they are laughing about something shows me the confidence the coaches have in their team. Who does that in that situation? And no one adjusted to the awful strike zone the umps were giving to both sides. And how about a squeeze bunt or even an attempt. Left handed batter dragging a bunt down to 1st, Tre scores easily going off contact. Coaching, they were better at it last night.

Maybe so, but their pitching was great enough to overcome it! This game was a textbook example of "good pitching beats good hitting"! Their starter walked guys, but for everyone he walked he would come right back and strike out two.
