Injuries, lack of consistency across the board, only small glimmers of leadership, a lack of basic fundamentals & poor coaching decisions have hurt this team
There are a ton of things that this team hasn’t been able to overcome

I think that right now, we suck at every aspect of the game, but a lot of that is the mentality
#1, We have tangible issues that aren't getting fixed barring some miraculous recovery by a couple of starting pitchers. If things go perfectly (highly unlikely) moving forward, we'd get Henry back at his old level of play and Hill pitching 30-50 pitches on a weekend. Frankly, while that would help, it's not enough. You'd also have to return Hess to the starting rotation, he'd have to pitch well, and Fontenot and Peterson would have to pitch well. Peterson hasn't consistently pitched at last year's level yet (It's May...it's not likely to happen) and Fontenot has fallen off quickly. In other words, the mountain of tangible things that needs to happen make it HIGHLY unlikely.
#2, as it pertains to the mentality issue, I agree that has had a noticable effect on this team. However, AT NO POINT this year has this team shown anything resembling toughness or being able to get behind a guy and follow said leader. In other words, this team doesn't have that mentality. They aren't going to find it.
When you consider both of those things, it just isn't going to happen for this team regardless of how much baseball you have watched your cousin play.

I’d believe it if we didn’t over come 6 runs in the nineth and the very next game get crushed and the next.

A recent former player said yesterday that this team was pitiful and Paul and his coaches are terrible.

change the stupid entitled “poor me” mentality that this team is currently displaying and start performing like real men!
Yeah maybe a good slap in the face!

Your thread is sarcasm right?

One thing that might help is someone like K-Rob lighting a fire under their asses and being a leader.
The experienced guys on this squad like Duplantis, Reid, and Watson don't seem to have that personality. Hess has it, but we need a daily player.
I've been waiting since the early season struggles for someone to emerge in that role. Nothing yet.

I’d rather see ‘wife of former D1 coach’ or ‘father of current travel ball player’ vs. ‘cousin of former major leaguer’ - how is that even relevant???
Now if you’re the cousin of George Brett (everyone knows...the all time greatest baseball player), let’s talk...

I've met Daryl Strawberry several times therefore I feel the Tigers will take the next two games from the squealers!

That’ll definitely do it!

that has been the ongoing problem. Not everyone player can over come the mental aspects of the game. Apparently we have no leadership and that is clearly a fact with this team.

Dude, I played A ball for 3 years. I realized I couldn’t cut the mustard and walked. I’ve seen a lot of baseball and I can tell you the funk that this team is in comes straight from the top. And it won’t be shaken off anytime soon. The funk runs deep in this team.

As the cousin of someone who stayed at a Holiday Inn last night. I wholeheartedly agree.

Smith ran up to Fontenot & said something real quick Sunday
Moffit had the midweek loss meeting in the outfield
K-Rob is the perfect example of the type of leader we need
Reid was very vocal in the dugout last season, I thought he would be the one to step up this season but
