I remember walking into the game after one of our friends had just gotten the call because they knew the plane owners. It was surreal and even after that Slinger held it together in the booth to call that game.

I hope the manager of that plant who wouldn’t let him off to watch his dad coach in the playoff hasn’t had a peaceful night’s sleep since.
On the flip side...... if granted vacation he may have been on that same plane...

Still so surreal that it happened.

You can’t be serious with this. Society is so soft these days.

My heart breaks for him too. She was a BEAUTIFUL young lady, and seemed to be an absolute sweetheart, and I'm sure a great wife. Sometimes life just isn't fair.
She was smoking hot. The hardest part would be knowing you’ll never have a wife as hot as that again.

Could have used Coach E in the booth this year. I know he’s gotten older, but he was a good OC. Much better than Peetz.

I didn’t wanna start this day with a cry but here I am. With something in my eye. Allergies are bad.

Did they let him take time off when she died?

I understand this is a horrible story and wouldn’t wish it upon anyone, but don’t make this guy look like a saint. It wasn’t long after Carley died that he was caught messing around with a river boat captains wife in Gonzales which has now led to a divorce. I’m sure while he was home wrecking he wasn’t thinking about that ring on his finger.

Always a turd in the group to interject negativity to a positive/difficult topic.
