Serious question here: If Arik was going to transfer, wouldn't he be enrolled by now?

I would welcome him back with open arms. My question is- what is his current status? Is he enrolled in school, which has started already? Is he participating in the off the field part of spring training which I believe has also started? It is time for him to make a decision.

This is some juvenile stuff. Reminds me of passing notes in 4th grade about the top 3 girls you like.

Tomorrow is the final day to add classes for the Spring semester.

We will see.

Man ricks has no reason in hell to leave lsu. He is balling out here and is set up to do bigger things in the future. He isn't going anywhere and to assume that is just ignorant. Rick's ain't going anywhere. As far as gilbert is concerned, he can come back if the team wants him back, but I still believe u make him earn it via extra work and see exactly how committed he is to being a tiger. It's time to test his chest, bc from his actions last season, he is lacking in the chest area.

Apologize for what? Admit he shouldn't have had a neurotic meltdown? Some of you guys are on Mars...

With all of the speculation and rumors going around (e.g., DC hires), I'm taking everything I read on here with a grain of salt. I'm tired of getting my hopes up - it's not official until it's official

Ricks isn’t going anywhere. He’s enrolled and taking classes at LSU and has been at practice the first 2 days. The rumor got started because he deleted all his post off Instagram and was tweeting some cryptic stuff like most 19 year olds do and automatically it has to mean he’s leaving the team. His entire family up and moved to Baton Rouge and both his parents have good jobs there

This. I don't want to get into any alleged stories that I don't even know if they are true, but if he was having some anxiety issues that made for a rough first year, its not like you can just snap out of that shite. Those stories may not be true, but on the off chance that they are (this is a teenager basically), you gotta look out for your mental health. As noted I could be wrong, but no-one (well most posters atleast) on tRant really knows what's going on in the locker room and in player's personal lives. And, if those stories weren't true and he wasn't really wanting to put in the work to be his best for LSU then that sucks and good luck, but this is La we got so many talented in state kids that can catch passes and could be a great TE.

As for the Rick situation, I sincerely hope that shite isn't true and frick these land thieves and Ohio clowns for trying to make it a "thing" if its not true

Ouch. You might be on to why he’s looking around.

Students can still add courses beyond tomorrow through a late-add process. Just has to be signed off on by the different professors. There are also new accelerated sessions (i.e. 7 week classes) that begin mid-semester.

Maybe the kid got homesick. Maybe he’s just a kid who is an elite athlete on the outside and a mama’s boy on the inside. Either way..... MYOFB.

Besides....what’s all the fuss all about? Next man up has shoes that fly 20 yards down the field.

Arik is superhuman but Kole is no slouch. A lot of us were excited when the 9th best TE in the country committed to LSU over 27 other schools.

Start Kole at TE and move Arik to WR. (That would entice him back)

I wouldn't be surprised to see P & M make that progressive move........

I certainly hope that Arik Gilbert returns to LSU. But Kole Taylor is a solid performer who should contribute quite a bit to the team.

I would agree that he has POTENTIAL to be a solid performer but after 6 catches for 36 yards I’d say he has a lot more to prove.
