It will be the QB and his ability to throw them open and let them go get it. Nothing more. Nothing less.

I think there were times, particularly early in the season, when the receivers weren’t good aside from Malik last season. So over confident? Yeah maybe to a degree. But I think the room is still really talented.

It seems like LSU may have the potential outside of Malik. I always think of the 2019 team with Chase, JJ and TM, don't know if we will ever have another core as great as those 3 were.

Nabers is a solid #1. Anderson (if healthy) could be electric. He turned heads all summer. BTJ and freshman Shelton Sampson Jr will be threats. Hilton showed flashes before his injury. Mason & Pimpton will be big from TE. Improvements in OL, QB & our running game will all help. while we are a bit unproven, there is reason for optimism.

Any updates on Hilton? He had two pretty serious knee injuries if I’m not mistaken.

Only that the radio heads were reporting he was running with the 2's and looked impressive. For them to single him out made an impression.

I thought he was ready to geaux back in May. So, I expect him to be ready and working out with the team.

BTJ hasn’t done much yet,
he had like 30 catches for 400 yards as our #5 Wr...that's definitely something

He caught everything thrown his way and showed GREAT run after catch for a monster his size

This WR corp should be elite. Don't downplay it because your emotions can't handle expectations

You wanna know why
Bcuz Our first year HC, first year OC game planned and strategized our offense to depend on our heisman candidate first year Qb running ability rather than his arm thus leading to our wr’s having low stats(bcuz this is the only thing you looked at and assumed the receivers played poorly)

I don’t think it could be worse than last year. You add a 5* transfer and 5* freshman. Lacy looks different to me this year. I don’t think he was last year. I think when he got hit, it really hurt and he wasn’t expecting that big of a jump. He pretty much stopped playing last year and I think they started preparing him, as early as last year for this year. Brian T. looked perfectly fine to me last year. Made some huge plays and imo could have had a much bigger impact, had it not been for so much game planning geared for Boutte.

Pimpton has already gotten praise. You add Anderson like I said and a healthy Chris Hilton as well as freshman like Parker who I think will be very similar to Neighbors, 5* Sampson and 5* Brown. You also have Ibieta. So there is plenty of talent there for us to have 3-4 guys who end up being or already are go to WRs, you can trust. I also think with an improved OL with quality depth and a RB room that looks very similar with quality depth you have much much more balance than last year so we won’t need to lean so much on the WRs or the QB BUT also have those options. So I actually believe CBK feels much much better about his WR room and offense as a whole this year with the info they all learned last year and how they prepared for that this year.

We should have seen a move into the portal for that position had they not felt comfortable with what they have and will have. But that’s just me.

Lacey will be great for us this year, but speed is not his thing. He’s the slowest receiver we have, but has very good short area quickness like a basketball player. This is why he’s so good at the line of scrimmage with his releases.

I could buy the argument that maybe we are over-valuing Lacy, but Nabers has proven to be top of the conference, and I feel like BTJ has made enough plays to justify confidence in his abilities.

I would bank on one of the freshmen to step up and I wouldn't count out Chris Hilton having a breakout year. He has more straight-line speed than anyone in the group, played against UCLA in his first collegiate game, and has missed the past two seasons with injuries.

I think they'll use Anderson as more of a gadget guy. Sweeps, screens, shallow crosses. Going to be deadly.

I just watched the bowl game highlights against Purdue. I forgot Malik threw 2x, one for a TD. Mason Taylor was awesome as a receiver from his TE position.

In addition to experienced WRs with talent, we have 2 5* guys coming in at a position where contributing early is common.

Not worried at all about WR.

as long as they dont pull the jerry sullivan and substitute 3-4 new WR's every series, they are going to eat.

Really good set that has complimentary skillsets.

If Kyren Lacy doesn't cut it, they will have someone to replace him. Not sure why people are worrying about him.
