Yes, why wouldn’t they be? Do they have any bearing on how good their program is in 2023? No

Also If Dedeaux coached the tigers you know damn well we would be bragging about those titles like the damn Yankees.

Kelly Leak was responsible for three of those NCs and we all know he fudged his brith certificate. Guys was 16 playing with a bunch of 11 year olds.

Yes.

The Trojans were coached by the legendary Rod Dedeaux, who was coach there for 45 seasons, retiring in 1986 at age 72. He was one of the 10 initial inductees in the College Baseball Hall of Fame.

"Much competition"? Their titles are legit but hands down, there was very little serious competition back then. No super regionals. No conference championship games. Basically conference champions went & the PAC 12 or 10 back then was no challenge. I remember Dedeaux for 2 reasons: he was always pissed because the locals pulling for LSU gave LSU an unfair advantage ( he actually said this ) and USC at the time did not have its own based in Omaha radio station to broadcast its games, and their L.A. station had to piggy back on to a local station. Both Skip & Polk could have danced circles around him, coaching - wise.

Some of y’all are so insecure. LSU just won a national title and is viewed by everyone as THE college baseball program and y’all are worried about USC having more national titles and are trying to delegitimize them for no reason

I don't hear anyone doubting if John Wooden't titles are legit. Why would you assume that Dedoux's aren't? They're from a different Era, but they still happened.

Since 2001 Oregon St has won 3 titles (that’s the most by ANY school in that time frame BTW) UCLA, Arizona, and Fresno St have all won 1 that’s 6. plus 4 times a west coast team has been in the finals and lost

While it was a different time, these were won on the field.
It's not like Bama claiming all those national championships while other teams also claiming to win it in those same years. Nobody else is claiming to have won in any of the years USC won

They are legit.

If it makes you feel better they were coached by New Orleans born Rod Dedeaux.

So at worst we have split custody over all their titles.

Try PAC 8 . . . and before that, Big 6, Big 5, and PCC.

I see.

In reality, a super power like LSU should win one per decade, at least.

That was meant a joke about the year 2000 being the 20th Century (which it is) not a swipe at you or the team

I will forever believe the new dead bats cost us the title in 2013. I know it’s more “fashionable” to blame the coach but the park/bat combo was clearly a problem as they have since “juiced” the balls to fix it but que sera.

Hopefully the portal/nil combo along with the coverage of this title put us back on your pace
