Aranda isn't returning to LSU, while Ed O is around.

Ed O is why he wanted to leave in the first place. Ed O wanted a 4-3, didn't like Aranda's defense. Aranda was a Les Miles hire.

Now Pete Golding might want to hire him.

Ed isn’t in charge of anything. But I don’t think we switch back to a 3-4 anyway.

Aranda will land somewhere next season.

He may have to be a defensive coordinator.

He was on O's staff for 3 plus years. If O wanted to run a 4-3 so bad, he had plenty of time to force Aranda to do so. And Aranda had the same 3 plus years to leave before he did. He didn't do so until he was offered a head coaching job.

Not to mention its laughable to think Oregon would have any input at all on what type defense we will run in 2027/

It took him a while to adjust to the new offense and we had a lot of injuries and guys playing at 70% or less for a lot of that season.

Once we got everyone healthy late in the season, they were elite when it counted. They held one of OU’s best offenses in check until the game was well out of reach and didn’t let a great Clemson offense score the entire 2nd half.

The adjustments that would be necessary are something to consider, though.

I don’t know whether or not O pushed Aranda ,but I do know Woodward forced pelini on him and blatantly sabataged his program. He went against O on a few hires and ED had to hire guys he didn’t want.Thats one of the reasons thing fell apart,Woodward wanted his own man.

Start oi 2019, yes. He turned it around during the season.

It honestly it one of the more impressive coaching jobs I've seen.

The 2019 D got beaten up in Austin and did not heal up until just before Bama.

That’s just not true. You’re the idiotic poster of the day.

We had some struggles in middle of that 2019 season when injuries piled up, but once we got healthy at the end of the year the defense was pretty dominant in the last few games of that year.
