This smear on CKM is political. Don’t be fooled by the BS indignation on the specifics. She doesn’t fit the woke mold and therefore MUST be destroyed.

Living where I do and having known of Kim
Most of my life and my brother being her same age and knew her back in their high school days I can tell you Kim
Don’t care about any of this. She has been a bad arse her whole life who walks to the beat of her own drum and no one else’s.

Wow. That’s a particularly ugly and aimed hit piece. The media marching orders have clearly been given.

Good god that is a liberal tear soaked article. They just went down the checklist of liberal cry-lines and added Mulkey's name to it. Its so fricking predictable its pathetic. Faux outrage over shite that doesn't even have anything to do with the game on Sunday.

Sadly, refs and selection committees read this garbage and it influences the way they think towards LSU.

Hopefully there’s a long walk off a short pier in your future. Did you not even read the article you posted?

She failed to publicly support perhaps the greatest player she’s ever coached, Brittney Griner, after the former Baylor star was arrested on trumped-up charges in Russia and essentially used as a political pawn by President Vladimir Putin.

That’s what this is about, it has nothing to do with anything that happened Sunday.

I have an in-law who is a sports reporter and editor type in one of Texas' major cities, been there forever though they make like no money. But, the paper loves him, and he loves working there.

Irl, he and his wife (a community college acting teacher) are complete and utter tools, totally stupid (though well educated) and basically just jealous of all the rest if us who made better professional decisions.

Needless to say, their kids are also mouthy, underperforming idiots who think the world owes them a living.

If this dude - who as I said is pretty high up in his ecosystem - is representative of the sports journalism class, and I'm afraid he probably is, then I'm not impressed.

The marketplace tells "journalist" they aren't that important, nor is there a scarcity of them. Otherwise, their compensation would be MUCH higher. So to offset that lack of monetary value they supplement it with a high "value" of overinflated sense of self worth. "No. I don't make a ton of money. But that doesn't reflect my true value to society which is lecturing society on how to think and behave. So my worth actually goes well beyond monetary value"

Deep down they know they aren't that important, or irreplaceable. So they bury that reality under a pile of moral superiority.

The people who read newspapers will be clutching their pearls.

The rest of us don’t care. Mulkey is a boss and I ride with her.

You gotta love the hubris of a lowlife journalist putting in print what they think Kim Mulkey should have said.

You see Kim, you should have said everyone needs the vaccine, you should have said Brittney Griner did no wrong, and you should have said this is not who we are.

All she needs to do is endorse Joey Biden, or donate to some progessive cause and they'll back off her.

This is an all out accusation that Mulkey is complicit with all sorts of evil without a single shred of evidence. If telling it like it is is wrong then maybe you need to sit back and assess what you are thinking. Jason Whitlock is 100% on target with his assessment of why all of this is playing out. This is when you allow your politics to influence how you measure a person.

The woke AP sportswriter just enumerated a lot of the reasons I like Kim Mulkey so much! She’s honest and sensible, not another one of these wishy washy cowardly media types who stands for everything and consequently stands for NOTHING.

Maybe Mulkey was still perturbed at Griner, who is gay, for saying that the then-Baylor coach told players not to be open about their sexuality because it would hurt recruiting and look bad for her program.

Translation, Mulkey did not say what we wanted her to say therefore she is a horrible person that needs to be canceled. That sums up why every chance they get, they write a hit piece on Mulkey, who gives zero $hits about what they write about her. That pisses them off even more.

What exactly was “trumped up” about Griner’s charges? She admitted to violating the laws of another country.

The argument would be she admitted to guilt in a country that isn't exactly known for it's due process. I'm assuming she did, in fact, have pot, but let's not go overboard and assume Russia is above lying.
