..you talking about the band building by aster street?… this is edge of lsu.. in president street area.. if area I am aware of ….. you pretty much pay someone over there from the area and they would sit out there and “guard” your car.. if you did not pay them your car would be in jeopardy.. been going on as long I can remember.. 20- 30 years.. and spanning all types of political leaders..

They have done some of that since I was there in the Stone Ages (1980). Now they have housing and administrative offices jutting out into those high crime areas

I didn’t but my buddy and his family were there tailgating and some 20 something kid ran up and punched his son in law while his friends video’s and then ran. I guess they didn’t realize that someone would chase them because they did and tackled the prick, and held him for cops as his 2 friends tried to pull them off. BR SWAT comes and takes statements and doesn’t arrest the kid. When asked by my buddy why he wasn’t being arrested and pointed to the kids camera for them to view, they said well we didn’t witness it. Turns out, the kid did it for his TIK TOK channel. So in case this happens to you or your family, you now know.

LSU needs to buy a ton of those houses north of campus and start getting rid of that bad element of the area.

You’re suggesting that either LSU personnel or LE make a decision based off appearances or actions to determine who belongs on campus. If the decision is based off of race, gender, age, religion, financial status, or culture, it is literally discrimination.
I’m not saying I disagree that there is a need to keep the riff raff out, but simply pointing out the downside of it.
