Right now, it's our best chance to log an SEC win.

Think our oline is going to have problems vs their dline and blitzing schemes, which comes from all over like UCLA. I still see us having difficulty running the ball and we can’t get in third and 5+ yards. Must have Deculus, Hines/Bradford, and Cam Wire, only because we have no other left tackle that could likely start for Harvard. Defense will need to eliminate the huge plays and create some havoc. Best thing for Tigers is 11:00 start unless we are the ones that come out flat. First time I ever think MSU is more likely to win, but that could change if we are suddenly much better against Central Michigan.

This game actually makes me more nervous that its the 11:00 AM game. LSU does not normally play well during these early morning games. Outside of 2019 when we had the best offense on the field and never had a truly bad game. This game could easily turn into last years Missouri game.

Yeah-my thoughts are to get pass CMU first-then worry about State....unless something changes with this team-at their place in Starkville, it's not a sure thing!!

We will be embarrassed again.

What I have seen so far this year makes me believe that the Pirate is going to make LSU walk the plank. He will kill us with crossing routes. Their QB will have a career day.

My thoughts? Moo State will skulldrag us
I can’t remember the last time I felt that way

It will be a blood bath if the Tigers play as they did against McNeese State.

It looms as another loss.

I hope we have a winning record going into the game.

Dominated NC State
Is that the word we'd use?
It was a 14-point win, at home, over a team that outgained them in yards and first downs, but had three turnovers...and had a kickoff returned for a TD.
And, yes...while MSU did hold NCSU to 32 rush yards, MSU only had 22.

LSU is ranked sixth in the country and should handle the Bulldogs in the excitement of the SEC home opener. The game will be televised on the SEC network.
What a dramatic turnaround for the LSU football team under new coach Sian Hudson.
Oh … you meant AMERICAN football. In that case, the Orgeron clown show continues.

The early start vs. Mizzou had NOTHING to do with the Missouri loss. LSU's complete lack of defense did. Which is why there is legitimate concern ahead of the MSU game.
Last year's opening loss to MSU was a shock. What was more shocking was the way MSU destroyed LSU's defense with big plays. After the game we all (tried to) chalk it up to MSU being better than expected; LSU being somewhat inexperienced, and the secondary being decimated with injuries ahead of the game. Soon after we figured out MSU really wasn't that good and LSU's defense was terrible...not just a one-off bad performance.
But going into 2021 we figured those issues were fixed. New DC. More experience. They had a full, mostly normal, offseason to learn from the mistakes and get more comfortable in the new defense....then UCLA gashed LSU for big plays with the same issues that plagued LSU in 2020. And, unfortunately, LSU's offense looks less competitive than in 2020.
So whether the MSU game was being played at 11:00 am, 7:00 pm, or 3:30 am is immaterial. The concerns are the same based upon the way LSU has looked thus far...which is not much better...if any...than they looked last season when a below-average MSU team ran all over the field.

If we lose we win but if we win we lose

It's a Leach team. Leach teams always have the possibility of just not showing up, but if our coaching staff is as bad as it seems like it is, Leach will eat and it's going to be UGLY.

NCSU's strength is rushing and had 293 yds rushing in the 1st game against UCF. State shut down their rushing game and they never came close to scoring a TD until 3 minutes left in the game. State had a good defensive game plan.
State's 22 yds rushing means nothing under the Leach system. State had 9 yds rushing against LSU last year.
