Except for pulling him out of the depths of DII, giving him and opportunity to compete and then developing him, right?

They don’t give 7 years of eligibility to just anyone. Gotta be a dude.

I just went searching through some Division II forums and nobody was talking about Trinidad before his season except that he was QB3 at Ferris splitting some reps with the starter; then he tore up Grand Valley State and got written off as GVSU's defense being the issue; ended up getting nominated for the Division II equivalent of the Heisman (which he did not win); and finally transferred to Ole Miss.

If he was that much of a dude at Ferris, that entire community of football fans missed it. Somehow I think Lane helped, call it a hunch.

He also did not start the season as a starter last year. He got his chance because the starter sucked and got hurt. Made the most of his opportunity.

You can't have a sophomore slump when you're 26

Lane probably gets too much credit for Trinidad."

Why shouldn’t he? Lane is the one that found him out in bum frick Egypt and literally made him relevant. Some of these coaches will just say any dumbass comment just to jump on the “discredit or bash Lane” train because it’s the hip thing to do right now.

Lane should get credit for Chambliss.

Also, Chambliss is a dude.

That wasn’t an anonymous SEC coach on Trinidad Chambliss.

That was an anonymous SEC coach on Lane Kiffin.

He’s so deep in their heads they can’t stand it.

Every QB who played under Kiffin was a “dude”. This will be everyone’s chance to see if one can be a “dude” without Kiffin (or his OC orchestrating).

I keep hearing about Chambliss.

I have heard about Arch.

Here is my analysis. Arch is over rated and let's see Chambliss without the offensive staff that put him on the app.

The best QB nobody is talking about is John Mateer. This guy was on his way to NYC before he was hurt. Sam Leavitt was very good before injury. I bet you these two will be the top QBs in the SEC before its done in 2026.
