He was promised to have an incredible burst and super fast. He looked indecisive and slow to me.

He was also promised to catch punts.

Me too. I don't know what he was looking at returning the ball on kickoffs because he looked a little hesitant like he was trying to set up blocks. Maybe he's not used to the speed of the college game yet and needs a few games under his belt to adjust.

It really was strange that Brian Kelly specifically talked up how good Anderson was going to be in the return game and he didn't even start the game as the punt return man.

Well to be fair, he was awesome against our team. But that tells you more about our team than his returning skills. He's scared to take a hit. He runs fast and then almost turns his back like he's scared of contact.

They should have shut that shite down after the 2nd time and taken touchbacks.

The blocking was terrible. He did not look explosive for sure but he did not have anywhere to go. Not having a Special Teams Coach looks like a mistake right now.

If he was as promised/advertised he would’ve been getting playing time at Bama… Plenty of opportunity within the WR group there to have earned a spot on the field.

The only time he looked fast was on that one pass he caught. Hopefully it was just first game jitters.

My buddy said, maybe he’s a mole. I told him he runs like a mole.

To be fair to him, that was his first collegiate game and first football game in almost two years.

And ran two kickoffs out of the end zone and got stuffed way short of the 25.

It was a complete failure as BK said. That's deflating for the first game.

Spot on. Guys were running free through our blockers to the 15-20 yrd line to meet him. You saw this at least twice & he had nowhere to go. ST schemes need work.

I don't think that's really fair to say yet. If he looks the same by Auburn, then yeah maybe... but I'm not ready to write him off because he didn't return a punt for a TD or didn't get any offensive opportunities because the OC is afraid to take chances or call something other than an RPO.
