I can't see Jay throwing Eyanson on short rest two weeks in a row, especially after he wasn't as sharp as he normally is last night.

Agree. If Eyanson is the one most capable of coming back on short rest then it would've been nice to have him pitch G1 but unfortunately we aren't setup that way since Eyanson had to pitch the Regional G7 game

Regional format, go with the order for your 3 starters that worked in Regionals. Jay specifically said that he pitched Eyanson in G1 of the regional because he has the ability to bounce back and give you some innings if needed in G7 (paraphrase). Why would he not go with the same set-up logic here?

If he throws Friday (which I’m pretty sure we won’t be scheduled for) that would be 5 days rest.
“Normal” rest is 3 to 5 days.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday is 5 days rest.
Why are you not counting Friday also?
