Verge obviously knows where 100% of the bodies are buried.

Verge is dug in politically and the national guard couldn’t get him out. To his credit, he never liked Miles or aleva.

I'm very confused as to why so many people want Verge gone but never mention the tennis coaches are still employed.

Verge is a political decision as is Wade. This is how LSU operates. Everyone should know this by now. The seeping corrupt cesspool that is Louisiana politics runs LSU.

BINGO!

Verge will more than likely be shown the door after a new Govenor's administration is sworn in. Till then, Louisiana will Louisiana.

This is called being a hypocrite.

You can’t defend verge still being employed after all the things he swept under the rug in the middle of this believe all women and title 9 hyper vigilance that you undoubtedly support, while Wade is fired for doing something everyone else did that is now perfectly legal now.

So you have nothing to resort to but a logical “fallacy” that does absolutely nothing to disprove the point of this thread.

Verge may be a bad guy and may have done bad things, but he can at least mount a defense for himself, regardless of how silly or unbelievable.

This is the issue that the Wade Fan Boys dont understand. Verge, Bill Self, Coach K, etc all have plausible deniability. Wade has no such luxury bc he operated in a sloppy manner driven by immaturity, stupidity or hubris.

Because Wade has no plausible deniability, Woodward had no alternative other than to fire him.

Verge knew player "X" and probably others were beating up women and committing other felonious acts but stated it wasn't his job to report it. Verge obviously felt no moral responsibility to take any action!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Careful there, Sun! Moral responsibility and any kind of integrity are shite on by many around here.
You are absolutely right, though.

So, if Verge had a daughter and a football player beat her up, Verge and his wife would accept it??????

What plausible deniability does Verge have for not following the protocols for reporting assault on campus, and deleting text message evidence that proves he knew about the assault?

And why did lsu give him the incredibly harsh punishment of not being able to be on the sidelines during home football games for an entire season if he had plausible deniability?

Would be nice to see a local reporter pose the question to Woody about why Verge still has his job. There will always be a dark cloud following Verge while he's here.

Segar? Maaaaaaan, there have been a million posts calling for her to lose her job. If you haven't seen it, it is because you are willingly trying to ignore it.

Oh, and make sure he's black. Because like you all said in an earlier thread, "we all know" why he hasn't been fired.

1) Where did I mention that Wade should not have been fired?

2) Verge and the others involved should have been fired long ago for failing to do their jobs and covering up multiple violations.

Of course you decide, however, that I am only saying this because he is black and Wade is whit. Because any AD with a spine and morals fired him on the spot once that investigation into the title IX violations concluded. Ausberry is a total piece of shite just like Segar and the tennis coaches and all should have been gone the instant the report came out.

Instead, they are given a slap on the wrist for something far more horrific than paying someone off. They literally covered up abuses, sexual assaults, etc.

But again, that is nothing compared to paying off a player’s ex or offering to pay a player.

Both Wade and Verge deserved to be fired. We aren’t the ones defending Ausberry because he is black like you are.

Nobody said they should accept it. That has nothing to do with what I posted. I didn’t claim Verge did his job and I didn’t claim he was a good person (I have no idea if he is or not). He does have the luxury of feigning ignorance, excusing away his lack of reporting and covering up his misdeeds. We may all know what happened, but we can’t prove it (and we certainly can’t prove intent). He has plausible deniability. Hell, O.J. Has plausible deniability. We all know what happened there, but OJ is walking around a free man. Wade, through ignorance or arrogance, does not. He can’t even mount a silly, unbelievable excuse for what he did.

No he doesn’t. Every campus employee is required to complete online training modules every year that include the requirements for reporting assault on campus.

If you think verge has the ability to feign ignorance of rules he was required to complete training on for more than a decade and that absolves him from responsibility, then Wade has that exact same ability.

Verge can sit there however long he wants because he can take down the school.

Ummmm no. He doesn't. For those of us that work in academia, there is absolutely not luxury of claiming ignorance as another poster mentioned. We literally have training that is required for this. Further, he didn’t just fail to report it. He destroyed, or tried to at least, evidence to cover his tracks.

It is clear as day that Verge should be fired. I don’t care what he knows about others. He is an utter pos human being and an embarrassment for LSU. Any parent of a daughter should feel the same way and any halfway decent human being is holding Woodward’s and Tate’s feet to the fire on Verge remaining not only employed but retaining his pension and influential in the program.

But who cares if a girl got assaulted, raped, abused by football players or other athletes. Wade paid off someone to cover up paying someone else. That is real scumbag there and LSU can’t allow that. Both are wrong, and both deserved firing.

Wasn’t one the findings of our internal investigation that our training for this was woefully inadequate?

It is beyond pathetic that Wade throws his weight around with Wade while completely turning a blind eye to the more horrific and disgusting things Verge permitted and hid.

Was Verge named in the NOA?

Verge was named in the Title IX stuff. The difference here is that firing him and a few others creates potential hostile witnesses in upcoming civil suits. Now you see why CEO got his full buyout...

As bad as you may think the CWW issue is there is no legal issue to LSU other than our sanctioning bodies SEC/NCAA leveling revenue crippling penalties if he stays...

Verge isn't going anywhere as long as Bernhard still has money.
