Give me some evidence
Posted on 10/4/17 at 1:34 pm to LSU_Saints_Hornets
Why is this discussed on the SEC coaches teleconference?
Why is this not kept internal?
"Mornin' competition...guess what? We're all fricked up!"

Orgeron - Idiot
Alleva - Idiot
Aranda - Socially inept
Canada - Apparently overruled at every turn
I agree with this
this meeting screams that CEO does not have a clue

5 games into the season and people aren't all on the same page.....
Sounds like there wasn't much of a plan to start. Even some poor semblance of a plan would have at least meant something was generally understood amongst leadership.

Nothing to see here.
If you are a head coach or a coordinator and the team is not playing well, the first thing you do is set up a meeting with the AD and ask him "why".
Joe Alleva will have all this straight in no time.
Alleva is mainly known a "Search" guy, but he has always been strong on x's and o's.
I feel better already...

Response to OP...
Is this actual real life right now? Who else feels like this is third grade tattletell bullshite with kids in the principal's office? Serious.
What in the holy frick is wrong with this situation? Everything, that's what. "I thought it was very positive"? I'm fricking sure you did, Rosy Finch. I wonder what Dave and Matt thought about it? Probably felt like little brothers getting scolded by daddy for something big brother did.
This shite is preposterous and beyond belief. These are grown arse men who are supposed to already be well versed on how to do their jobs. Yet they have to have a midseason meeting to recalibrate? Horse shite! I know one of the four in that meeting actually knows how to do his job. And one I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt. But the other two have proven to be failures as leaders in their current appointed positions.
This is a disaster. I can't believe how quickly this has gone to hell, nor how far we have fallen.

Yeah poor O. He gets millions for getting fired, I'm sure he will lose many nights of sleep over the fear of losing his job.
yes, O's buyout is sickening, but O already has been making great money and a year's salary as HC and he's set for life.
I'd suspect O is more concerned with being a complete failure for the second time. And that's got to be very hard to accept.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not sympathetic to O. I was vehemently against his hire and want him gone.
I'm just saying that money isn't likely to cure the embarrassment and humiliation that O's going through.

I'm wondering if Alleva called this meeting so it looks like he is being proactive in righting the ship. But yeah I'm sure Dave and Matt are thinking WTF did I get into

He is on pace to being the worst coach ever at 2 separate schools

I'm trying to figure out which is more pathetic. O bringing Alleva in to try to set his coordinators in line or O bringing Derek fricking Ponamsky into his interview for the head coaching position of a major program in CFB

For a man a yr. ago making like $300,000 a year, 3.5 million with a 12 million buyout is it pretty freaking big thing to any normal human being. imo

So let's get this straight...
Not only does Orgeron rely on his assistants to coach, now he relies on his AD to motivate his assistants?

I wonder if this has to do with the altercation last week at practice? Alleva telling them Ed is back on his meds and promises not to try and fight anyone again.

This isn’t true at all. Orgeron overruled him once to simplify and remove all the shifts for one half of football, which is what all the armchair coaches on here wanted.

Why in the hell do we know about this?
Should have been done at 3AM while all are sleeping. God help us but I do not want to know about this kind of meeting. The head coach should fix things himself without the AD getting involved in getting the Coach and his 2 coordinators on the same page? WTF
With that said, and now we know about it, maybe they ironed out a huge problem that evidently has developed... So they nip it at the bud and come out swinging with Offensive & Defensive fireworks this week in that nasty swamp!

According to reports, players said they ran a different offense during the first half of the loss to Troy, and Orgeron said he was making changes to Canada's scheme, which he brought over from Pitt following last season.
Orgeron hasn't learned shite from his Ole Miss stint. This is EXACTLY what he did at Ole Miss. One of his selling points to Alleva was that he would pretty much not do anything and just let the coordinators do all the work. Essentially, he would be a recruiting coordinator who does press conferences.
While I hope a lot was gained out of this meeting, I have little confidence there was. Orgeron is clearly not head coach material, and Alleva knows he fricked up. Right now our best shot is let Aranda be head coach of the defense and Canada be head coach of the offense. O is in over his head, and Alleva and the board seriously, seriously fricked this program giving O such a huge buyout.

Lol, for all your bitching over the years, this is what LSU is now. Joe Alleva having to step in 5 games into the season to get the coaches on the same page.. Just shut the frick up and stop being a fan. Dumbasses like you are why LSU is in this mess.
