That’s a good start, but extend the awning all the way down the lines. Get rid of the bleachers and have purple and gold chair backs throughout. Extend/expand outfield seating.

Does LSU baseball suddenly have a glut of wheelchair bound Muslim women fans? So many that representing them in the rendering seemed necessary?

From that rendering. Not a fan
No left field bleachers
Still keeping the metal bleachers down the lines
And nets all the way down the lines? (frick that pay attention at the games and get off your phone if you sit down there)

Are chair back seats some incredible expense? I’m starting to get really pissed off at our high school seating situation in places that aren’t occupied by the old people that will never sell. It’s uncomfortable as frick to sit in that place and the food fricking sucks.
Omaha showed me the light. I was spoiled at Charles Schwab/TD Ameritrade/Rosenblatt/Polo Grounds. I was able to see what a stadium focused on the fans was all about. We play baseball in a place that caters to nickel-and-diming us to death.
LSU can’t get out of its own way in the modern frick the fans era.
It's like LSU is desperately trying to hang on to some of the rinky-dink aspects of the old Alex Box Stadium for purposes of "nostalgia".
The old Box was built at a time when absolutely no one cared about college baseball. Very few people attended the games. Thus, there was no need to sink significant resources into the infrastructure.
That is not the case now. For all intents and purposes, LSU is Baton Rouge's minor league baseball team. Games are events people want to attend. Especially now coming off a National Championship. No one is arguing the stadium needs to be torn down and rebuilt. Just fix some of the cheap aspects...most notably the bleachers down the line...and give the stadium some degree of character. LSU likes to call itself the "home of college baseball". Except, they had DH Horton build the "home". It's functional, but wholly unremarkable.

Did they seriously put a Muslim, handicapped female in there to tick all the boxes? Is she trans, too?
You beat me to it.

Sitting at a desk to watch a baseball game with the most diverse 25 people in the world...The BOX IS BACK BABY!!!!

According to that rendering there are no seats in LF at all

The entire stadium is wrong. It looks more like the softball field.
The netting is held up by magic.
There’s a gap in the netting for no apparent reason.
The foul line chalk goes from dirt to grass to dirt again.
Pretty sure the one guy on the bleachers is facing the wrong way and wearing a mask as he’s alone outside.
Who is the guy in shorts on the field?

I'm interested to see how this all goes down. I have held season tickets in 103 row 1 (at the home bullpen mound) since the stadium opened. I'm curious if I will have the option to move forward and keep my front row seats if new seating is added in place of the bullpens. Being in the blistering sun in metal bleachers, the front row is the best thing my seats have going for them.

Actually spoke to the lady in the wheelchair earlier and she said she broke her back, she has a broken back. I think it’s spinal….

All of this. I also sit in 103 and before that in front of the home bullpen since the old Box. While I understand the safety aspect of moving the bullpens, I will miss the players and coaches moving out of foul territory into a different area and the interaction fans and kids can have with them.
After seeing the new loge seating under the grandstand the past season, I suspect these new field level "premium" seats will demand higher pricing/TAF donations. IMO the only way to improve the existing bleacher fan's experience with this concept would be to have them able to move down on a game by game basis as a result of a random drawing or lottery system so that all bleacher fans have an ability to benefit from the "upgrades".
But with the way things have trended since moving to the new stadium, I'm sure they will be bought up by corporate donors with no consideration for those fans who have made LSU Baseball's home field advantage what it is over the past 3 decades. So while something new, it could actually diminish the current fan's experience and further isolate them from the things that matter most to them.

I'll never understand an upgrade still consists of bleachers. Every seat along the lines should be chairback. Outfield can have bleachers.

This looks like they used that old 2006 NCAA baseball PS2 game graphics to make this rendering.
I don't think the Box needs less foul territory. I hate parks like Vandy where nothing stays in play.

Agree. But hey in the name of safety, let's move the fences in to put the bullpens in the outfield and cut foul territory in half down the lines. Kiss any advantage our pitchers had goodbye while playing 40+ games at home per season.

Mall-park. Most modern stadiums are designed to a be a vehicle to separate the fan from his money.
Game watching experience is secondary.

i was at a game last year sitting down the left field line, maybe 30' from the foul pole. Tommy White hit a screamer right at us and a kid sitting on the third row a couple feet in front of us tried to stand up and catch that line drive with his glove and was too slow and it hit him right on top of his head knocking his hat off. Had that ball been 3 inches lower i'm pretty sure it would have killed him. he was extremely lucky that ball just ricocheted off the top his head.
Guy are hitting balls 110mph down the line that are tailing. 95% of the people in the stands can't catch that even if they are paying attention.
I hate the nets too, but someone is going to get killed one day.
and yes this rendering sucks.
