It will have constantly updated in-game stats for batters, detailed pitch stats like pitch counts and speed, and will essentially function like a real-time box score. It’s an open canvas for us and we’re excited to see what we can do with it."
I would bet my house that this is in reference to the supposed new board in right field.

Is that a done deal? I heard insider rumblings a while back

You may be right, I'm curious where in right field this will be placed and how it will look.

Our baseball stadium is quickly dropping below standard in the SEC and yall are worried about freaking ads on the scoreboard.

Not the players part of the stadium. I do agree about the rest of it and I hope they have plans to do some type of updates or renovations in the next few years. The rest of the SEC has been doing major upgrades to their baseball stadiums.

Also there will be locker/shower room just for former LSU baseball players who are in professional baseball. Those former players will be able to use the workout room in the off season and will have a place to shower and change clothes with an assigned locker space for them with their picture above their locker
Wow. That's kind of cool. And weird. Will something like this ever get used? I mean, how many former LSU baseball players who are also now Pro players and live in the Baton Rouge area, that this would get any use?

There's no reason the NEZ scoreboard should be nearly half advertisements, literally none
I agree. Especially since the TV angles rarely pan up to the scoreboards in the stadiums. The best place for advertisement is on the field or the walls along the sidelines. That's the high exposure areas for the television viewers. For in-Stadium advertisement directed towards ticket holders, it doesn't really matter where the advertisement is placed. People tend to look all over the stadium when they're sitting in the stands.

quote:Yes. Last fall there were at least 5 former players who are now in professional ball who worked out with the team during fall practices.
Will something like this ever get used?
Every January and February there are several former players who come back to the Box to work out with the team when spring practice begins.

I wish they kept the analog clock. I thought it was kinda cool

That’s because we updated our stadium before anyone else and everyone else wants to copy us and try to be like us because we’re the pinnacle of SEC baseball

In what specific ways? Legit curious. Outside of new metal bleachers (long overdue), everything else seems fine to me. I am surprised they haven't brought in the seat cushion program like they use in Tiger Stadium. I guess most of the metal bleacher seats aren't season ticket holders.

This Fall, LSU approved a redesign of Champions Plaza which will feature a statue of Skip
Dunno when they plan on completing it.

I'd bet those spaces on the sides WILL be advertisements when the screen is in the current configuration, but will probably go full-screen during videos and on-screen graphics.

Yeah. Let's get rid of all these damn ads so that LSU can raise ticket, concession and parking prices to make up for the lost revenue.
Scroll the ads on the ribbon and video boards.
They are getting out of hand and should all be removed.
No matter how bad things get, there's always some idolizing and worshipping cretin that agrees with anything and everything that LSU does.

People butch way too much about ads. If they have quality info who gives a frick if there is an ad on the side?
Posted on 1/24/19 at 11:17 am to TigerNlc
I heard they plan on making some renovations to this after the season.

I do wish they'd convert our full color advertisements on the walls to white on the green background like other stadiums.

Maybe one day they will add more chairback seating down the lines and a new batter's eye.
The fact that the metal bleachers still exist because they’re the “ LUCKY ONES” from the old Box is pathetic . Get with the times and make them chair back .
