I always thought they should put the faint image of Wally back up on the intimidator like it was before at the old box.

And, add "Baseball at the Box" back on the press box like at the old box.

This should happen. Still baffles me how bland the grandstand is

It’s a genius recruiting tool. “Come play for LSU. Alex Bregman and Aaron Nola work out here in the off-season “

Next upgrade definitely needs to be more chair backs throughout stadium.

I know. Every time someone mentions ads at The Box it reminds me of this.

Give it time, it took them 15 years to put back Welcome to Death Valley in Tiger Stadium.

The new video board at Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field will be the largest in college baseball when it begins operating for the Tigers’ 2019 season opener in February. The state-of-the art structure, located in left field, measures 71.4 feet wide by 37.8 feet high for a total square footage of 2,698. The 16 mm high-definition video board will provide instant replays and enhanced statistical information with the capability for full-screen video viewing.

Two free-standing sponsor recognition panels will be constructed on either side of the high-definition board, maximizing the amount of space available for video and statistics. An auxiliary board will also be installed in right-center field, and it will display supplemental information like up-to-date lineups and scores of other games.

quote:

Along with the video board project, the expansion of the baseball hitting facility continues at Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field. Construction began in June and will add 4,300 square feet of space to the building, including a 3,500 square-foot weight training facility and spacious cardio mezzanine that will cater to the specific needs of the baseball student-athlete.

The weight training/performance facility project will be completed in April 2019, and it will feature not only the weight training component, but also a nutritional fueling station for student-athletes and a locker room for former LSU players to utilize when preparing for MLB spring training.

The video board and training facility projects utilize no state funding, incur no debt and are funded by the Tiger Athletic Foundation in support of LSU Athletics.

Where would you suggest it be put? Left field has a big scoreboard, and right field has our brand new clubhouse.

This definitely needs to be done at least everywhere but the outfield bleachers. That alone would make the stadium look a lot nicer.

Build a goddamn berm for students with grills and bathrooms and let them bring ice chests of beer out there.

Ole Miss right field is one of the coolest things in all of college sports.

I always thought at a minimum cover the metal bleachers with those bleacher cap things. They are a plastic type covering that comes in all sorts of colors. High schools & colleges do it to 'update' their seats.

That would at least look better than the metal erector set stuff we have going on now.

I’m not exaggerating at all. I’ve sat out there dozens of times and it’s amazing. Students spend the entire weekend out there grilling and partying. Most of the people I know preferred it to any other sporting event at Ole Miss.

I’ve brought several LSU friends out there and they all still talk about how incredible it was.

It’s more fun than any student section I’ve been in for any sport at any school.

ETA:
I wasn’t even rooting for Ole Miss and it was awesome.

After each football game, I receive an email asking about my fan experience. Each time I make a comment about the NEZ scoreboard.

The game info on the NEZ scoreboard...score, LOS, time outs left, down and distance, etc.....are located across the bottom of the scoreboard in a format that is very difficult to read. Also, the size of the game info is small and hard to read from my seats in the SEZ. Everyone around me complains about it every game.

Arkansas’ scoreboard is first class. The game info is very large and easy to read. It also has real time stats that changes after every play. And a continuous scroll of SEC scores and other games of national interest.

LSU has no clue on how to enhance fan experience.
