Anything new for the upcoming season besides the new jumbotron? I know the hitting facility will be renovated after the season but anything different to the stadium for the 2019 season? BTW the jumbotron is supposed to be the biggest in college baseball.

You would've thought they could have at least centered it..

The amount of space for advertisements on the new jumbotron is incredible.

PM mentioned a new scoreboard in RF as well, smaller version will include additional stats.
Not sure where that stands from a timing standpoint.

The new addition to indoor batting cage area which will include weight room and locker facilities should be complete somewhere around April from what PM said.

Maybe one day they will add more chairback seating down the lines and a new batter's eye.

Looks like there is a space on the side for advertising that would make it centered.

I don't think it was complete at the time. That's just the last picture I have seen. That was taken around August I believe.

Alot of space on that new jumbotron to not show a pitch counter...

Also, the hitting facility is under renovations right now. I pass by it almost every day.

Yep, looks like they're effectively doubling the space of that facility

PM was leery of putting the pitch count
He doesn't want all the fans screaming at him during the game to remove pitcher or leave pitcher in too long

Yeah. Let's get rid of all these damn ads so that LSU can raise ticket, concession and parking prices to make up for the lost revenue.

The new addition is a weight and cardio workout gym so that baseball players will have their own facility rather than having to schedule their workouts whenever the football players are not working out at the football ops building.

Also there will be locker/shower room just for former LSU baseball players who are in professional baseball. Those former players will be able to use the workout room in the off season and will have a place to shower and change clothes with an assigned locker space for them with their picture above their locker.

Mainieri said he's planning on using that "professional" locker room as an additional recruiting tool when recruits visit the Box.

I'm not saying get rid of ads, I'm saying put them somewhere where they aren't taking up scoreboard space... Not that difficult to do (Basketball has tiny ads on their brand new board, but 90% of that thing is basketball related and it's awesome)

So basically you are saying to hide the ads in places where the fans won't see them? Good marketing strategy.

So what you're saying is, we can't remove digital ads and replace them somewhere else to clear up board space in football even though it's exactly what's happening in baseball and basketball?

There's no reason the NEZ scoreboard should be nearly half advertisements, literally none

Seems to be no wider but just a tad taller and without the analog clock.

Ehh there's plenty of place for ads, there's no reason to lose video space for it. If you look at the old scoreboard the top and bottom ads are not part of the jumbotron. They just blend well and make the jumbotron look larger than it really is. That's what makes the new one more impressive when you actually compare the video space.

Found a finished picture of the new one:
