Alabama State didn’t even play well. That’s the sad part

I wouldn’t call that reasonable but there’s logic in what you’re saying. The problem is he doesn’t reward the kid when he plays well and others on the team play like donkeys but don’t get treated like Ward does. He’s your best player and best chance to build on but I wouldn’t be surprised if he left.
A number of players have had bad games at time this year, so it has been pick your poison. As for Ward leaving, everyone was saying that last year but he didn't. I think even he said he wasn't ready to start last year, and he has been given a ton of minutes this year up until this game.

IMO he needs to build up his strength to be a better defender and that should even help his offense. Next year will be his big year and he should expect a ton of minutes as he will own the 3 spot in the lineup.

I'm just listening to the game and you are melting over an 18 point victory. Sorry, but you really shouldn't be doing that if you are a fan. Relax and enjoy the victories.

Ward was playing bad defense. He'll be fine, but something had to give between Ward, Wright, and Williams.

The scheme McMahon runs on defense makes him look worse than he actually is. He isn’t the best defender by any means, but I do think his positive offensive impact is greater than his negative defensive impact

Much better 2nd half. Williams played really well and Hannibal provided the most exciting dunks LSU has had in about 2 years.

He is a lot quicker and stronger with the ball this year. He’s played good D at times. He took over the end of the Wake win with individual defensive plays and made enough plays to beat Dayton had he been given help. It isn’t an ability issue, he’s earned time, our coach is a dipshit.

Any chance this new-found success carries over at Texas on Saturday morning?

I’m not melting over a victory. I see what this program is right now and it’s not good.

I wasn’t always a distractor of your posting, but you can just go away. Do you.

No.

LSU is getting poled. Find something better to do with your time that morning.

You are completely melting. Zero real comments, just emotional drivel. Your first post after the win was to look to attack anyone with a positive comment, and then you couldn't even get past someone calling you out.

I wish, but doubtful considering McMahon doesn’t keep lineups or rotations consistent. Dean had a good game but it’s likely he won’t play at all

Carlos getting barely any minutes against Kansas St, now Tyrell not playing against Alabama State.

Carlos before tonight had scored a total of 10 points in 6 games shooting 4-22 from the field.

Ward as good as he could be, is absolutely out of control at times.

Baker has a terrible attitude every time he gets pulled as well as Ward and it’s no surprise we made a huge run without them on the floor. At this point, I’m definitely giving the minutes to Dean.

Once Baker was out we could run more of the 1-2-2 and DHO. It sped up the tempo and we were able to get settled in. Also allowed Reed to play around the FT line area and gave Fountain more looks on the perimeter. Reed was constantly trying to drive against the zone and that typically doesn’t work unless the ball is being swung or skipped to you. Fountain has a little more IQ out there, which I liked.

I’m definitely not in a state of panic, this was another building block from the effort against Kansas St. Moving forward I think we will be competitive vs Texas. Looking forward to it.

Definitely think the best lineups have reed and fountain in together. Baker is pretty bad. Which is odd because there is skill there.

I didn't see the game but just read the boxscore ... what was up with Will Baker? His numbers sucked and he wasn't in foul trouble so ....

This is one of those games that baker usually plays well in. Not sure why but it seems like the opponent matters more with him than any other player. Most guys will give you 10-15 points no matter who we play. Baker can give you 25 or nothing depending on who we play and this game should have been a 25 point game
