Can explain why you think this is an interesting option? Sorry don’t know the guy....

No, no, no.
You have two choices here. A young up and coming person or a consistent proven performer.
Not a coach that has had his chances and failed, he has been around forever, there is a reason these type of coaches dont usually fail then succeed.
We cant have a staff or great recruiters unless they can coach.

- connection with Ed O (other than 2 stints at Saints) is probably The U.
- Was WR coach at Saints for 2010 superbowl year
- I think being there with Payton at his beginning is a key interesting point- that means he was there at the installation of his system. Which I'm assuming means he knows how the system, the reads, and the communication works.
- Being at the Saints a 2nd time means he's also 'up to date' with the offensive evolution. Another assumption of mine.
If those assumptions are indeed correct, this is the only name I've heard adequate as a 'replacement' for Brady and should be a home run all things being equal.
In our new offense, the PGC has to be a WR coach also (much more than QB coach).

As a longtime Tulane fan I can’t emphasize how atrocious of a hire this would be. He didn’t know anything about the saints offense. He can coach WRs, that’s it. His offenses at Tulane were poorly coached, a mess, couldn’t score, etc.

I’m with Lester. Would be an awesome wr coach if that’s what we’re bringing him in for but not the best hire as a PGC
Just promote munoz
Just promote munoz

I think CJ would be a good to great hire, but I also prefer Munoz.

Jesus Christ could not run a good offense at Tulane.

At a glance, I think that's a very intriguing choice.
Coach has recent college experience at Tulane (personally, I love having assistants on staff who have previous head coaching experience) but just as importantly, if not more importantly, he's very well versed in the saints offense.
Since our new offense borrows liberally from the Saints, in terms of concepts, it makes some sense.

Currently the Saints WR coach.
Definitely an.....interesting option.
Are you some kinda cuck paying for info and bringing it straight here?

Sure, because it's in Sean Payton's best interest to have an idiot on his staff. If there were any concerns or questions about his ability to coach, then why did the Saints hire him back after Tulane?

Don’t come at me if you don’t know what his role as WR coach entails
Posted on 1/20/20 at 5:09 pm to ffhouston
He can coach wrs it does not know how to run an offense
Posted on 1/20/20 at 5:11 pm to ffhouston
Bc he can coach WRs. That’s it and he’s great at that. I watched every play he coached at Tulane, it was the worst I’ve ever seen at Tulane and that’s saying something. It was a complete joke. He’s very, very bad.

Let me get this straight, you think Johnson’s only redeeming attribute is as a recruiter. He’s currently the WR coach for the Saints, a professional organization.

Went to many Tulane games. He had good running backs. They’d get 5 and 4 yards on first and second down. Then ole Curtis would run a double reverse flee flicker. Terrible
