I think they need to pull out the bleachers and put in water proof recliner type seating.

The East Upper is the only section that’s truly separate

The ramp to get to the East Uppers is at the SEZ gates.

Patrons sitting in the east upper deck may use gate 9 (the escalator) or they may enter through the south endzone (gates 22-28) to access the ramp leading to the east upper deck. It is recommended to use the ramp for quicker entry process.

I actually forgot about that change after the first season of the South Upper.

So now you can get everywhere.

Is the chute available for the whole stadium?

Is it near the West Upper chairback section?

You should be able to access it but your seats are at the top of the stadium and the chute is located on the ground floor. You probably won't want to make too many trips down but you can go in before you walk to your seat.

Tomorrow will be the first time it's ever offered. The Nicholson Gateway Project was completed in time for student move in.

So yes, it was ready on time.

A premium area

Lol, they need to stop throwing this word around. The chute looks like how I drunkinly decorated my backyard in college.

Block Party

New for 2018 is Block Party, a full-service tailgating experience located at The Oaks at Patrick F. Taylor Hall as well as the Parade Grounds (student only area). The Block Party features a premium reserved tailgating area with setup, breakdown, and service from the Block Party staff. Block Party tailgate spaces are available for all seven LSU home games. To reserve your spot, call 225.240.1685 or email lsu@blockpartypresents.com.

This one is BS. I was always capable of setting up my own tailgate spot and bringing my own food/drinks. This is just The Man trying to control us.

This is what I thought. It is really aggravating that nothing is coming to the NEZ. Certainly makes me want to stay at home.

I agree with the Chute looking very rinky-dink. Did they decide to do this at the last minute?

one thing I noticed right off the top is that they should probably have more fans to attempt to keep things reasonably cool...

That's what it officially has to be to skirt the SEC alcohol sales rules. Just like how the club sections and suites can sell alcohol. That being said, why can't LSU just declare the entire stadium a "premium area"? Like what are the restrictions on calling something this?

I don't like the corporatization of the tailgate experience. It feels cheap and forced. Things were much better when fans had much more freedom to do what they want.
