Coach Orgeron is not going to get fired during the season. It would be too disruptive to recruiting.

Barring a five loss season, there is at least a 50% chance that Coach Orgeron will be LSU's coach next year. This assumes that the Title IX issues do not blow up.

He's gone. Some of you need to start coping with that now apparently.

You aren't paying very good attention to the temperature of the room.

If we lose Saturday I think he may get the can. Auburn was a must win game. We could be in for a long stretch of losses up until ULM.

5 losses is pretty much the ceiling at this point.

I do agree that it is unlikely that he gets fired during the season, and really not necessary. LSU actually comes out looking better and public/national approval of their decision to fire O when he finishes 7-5 or worse. He’ll lose 5+ games and no one will have an issue or criticism of LSU moving on from O.

Why don’t you list 5 more wins on remaining schedule.

Do you think CEO recruiting all season, then being fired after the last game, before signing day is less disruptive?

Firing him during the season or after isn’t about saving the recruiting class

Hate to tell you, brah, but five losses is the minimum this year.

Bama is a lock. Gonna need more than a shoe being thrown to save Ed's arse this year.

I think he beats Kentucky somehow this weekend and doesn't win again at LSU because he gets canned after the Arkansas game.

This is so dumb. Of course you take a recruiting hit in the short term when you fire a coach. Have you not considered the recruiting hit LSU will take by keeping O when every coach under the sun will negatively recruit against a guy that it's obvious is a ticking time bomb who won't be around next year?

Speaking of ticking time bombs...

Probably not.

don’t think so anymore. 8-4 will do it considering the circumstances.

Did you pull this out of your arse?

I can't imagine a world where someone would be upset with Orgeron ceasing to be the coach at LSU.

2019 was amazing... but its clear he will not be able to sustain success. It's not that he is losing its how he is losing and who he is losing to.

We lost to some pretty bad teams last year and we lost to a mediocre UCLA and auburn this year.

If he was putting up Miles-like 10 win seasons it would be difficult... but he isn't.

How is he being let go during the season more disruptive then he going out recruiting when every recruit and parent already knows he won't be here the following season? Is he just going to lie to every kid and tell them everything is fine?
