My wife and I are about to adopt our two beautiful children and we could not be more excited! My daughter (3) is a huge LSU fan and wears her LSU cheerleader outfit every chance she gets and it's about wore out.

Every night when I put her to bed, she wants me to sing the tiger song,"Hey Fighting Tiger" or also known as "victory for LSU." When I get to the part where it says "make mike the tiger stand right up and roar" she loves to yell roar and she loves to scream L S U at the end of the song where it goes "victory for LSU." Her favorite part though is chanting T I G E R S TIGERS! at the end.

I am a life long LSU fan and I bleed purple and gold but this makes it all worth it. Anyone else have any proud LSU daddy moments?

That's awesome OP and congrats. Always good to see parents imparting the Tiger fandom on the future generations early on.

My wife went to Ole Miss, as well as her entire family stretching back quite a few generations. My favorite one was when my little girl, without prompting, ran in our room, looked at my wife and screamed, “GEAUX TIGERS!” Fast forward a couple years and she sleeps with a tiger, favorite color is purple because that’s what tigers are, and tiger stadium is her favorite place.

When my daughter planned her wedding in April, she made the wedding date a Saturday in October. Being a dutiful father, I immediately asked who LSU was playing that day. It was Florida.

My daughter promptly changed the day to Friday. After the wedding, the groom's family from Minnesota questioned why the wedding was on a Friday instead of the usual Saturday. The bridesmaid and I answered simultaneously, "LSU plays Florida tomorrow."

They did not understand.

CONGRATULATIONS! The greatest gift one could ask for from God is the privilege of caring for a family. When you’re closer to the end of your life than the beginning, you’ll have no regrets about the time you spent with them. You will, however have some about the time you don’t.
It sounds like you have your priorities in order.

Not a proud daddy moment, but one here for my mom...
In 1997, my mother was in intensive care for several days before the LSU vs UF game in Tiger Stadium. We slept in the waiting area along with fans from other teams. My daughter in law turned on the LSU game knowing it would provide a break from reality.
A week or so later, my mother came out of her coma and the first thing she asked was, “Did the Tigers win?”
I believe that she hung on to find out the score!

I've been hoping you would post an update about y'all's journey. Congrats!

Also, I was hoping you weren't caught up in that coaching mess out there.

No particular story but I’m pretty proud of myself, keeping my son a Tiger fan living in gay-tor country.... but that’s all about to come to an end as I’m packing up the folks and headed back home to the boot!!!!
