When I yell "GEAUX!" my 1.5 yo will now return "TIGOOS! EL ET SU EL ET SU EL ET SU!" <3

ETA: Also, any time any sporting event is on, no matter the sport or team, he stares at the TV and randomly yells for his Tigers.

I had a son in 2011 and we lost no games that calendar year. 14-0!

Then the calendar flipped...

When my daughter was 4 my mother made her a little LSU dress and on game day she'd dress in her little outfit and I'd call her into the den before game time and have her yell, "gooooo tiiiggggeeeerrrrssss!! Fight fight fight!!!"
It was so cute. She's a freshman at Walker now and I just can't get her to do it anymore.

I've been hoping you would post an update about y'all's journey. Congrats!

Also, I was hoping you weren't caught up in that coaching mess out there.

Thanks coach, I really appreciate it! Our adoption date is set for October 4th, so we are getting really close. I dont teach/coach at walker, I only graduated there but I do have alot of concretions and people in the know.

You, sir, are one hell of a good man. Too few people even think about adoption.

Awesome, man - congrats!

But, you know with this being the rant someone will have something negative to say.

Awesome man, congrats. My two boys are teenagers now; 3 years ago my youngest was in PE and they huddled the class together at mid-court on a Friday to call the hogs (live just north of Little Rock). There's a picture of everyone with their arms up except for one kid with a LSU shirt on

My wife went to Ole Miss, as well as her entire family stretching back quite a few generations. My favorite one was when my little girl, without prompting, ran in our room, looked at my wife and screamed, “GEAUX TIGERS!” Fast forward a couple years and she sleeps with a tiger, favorite color is purple because that’s what tigers are, and tiger stadium is her favorite place.

Pretty cool.

It takes special people to adopt. I envy you for being that type of person and I say this in all seriousness.

Man this is awesome. I have a newborn and can't wait for these moments.

You'll live for these kinds of moments. When my daughter was 2, I taught her the referee hands up touchdown signal. When ever LSU would score, I'd yell "touchdown!" and she'd come running in the room with her arms up.

Great story and congrats on your commitment.

But who the FRICK would downvote such a story?

That has to be one miserable SOB whose life is so bad that he has to spread some his misery onto others.
