My daughter is 2.5 years old. She associates all sports with LSU. We watch golf, she yells "geaux tigers". We watch a major league baseball game, she yells "geaux tigers". But when we watch LSU on saturday, she says "daddy look, the tigers". I think I've got a lifer on my hands.

Congratulation on the adoptions.

I know this place can get really negative at time, but the moments like this your sharing with your kids are what it’s all about.

My son had been friends and teammates with a kid for a few years and my wife and I friends with his parents. They didn't follow college sports much so it never really came up until we knew them for a couple of years (my son was 6 or 7 at this time) at which point they admitted to pulling for Bama. My son immediately looked at me in anger and asked "daddy, are we still friends with them?"

I also have a 2.5 year old little girl. She knows how to spell Tigers after a score. Makes me smile every time.

My daughter (3) is a huge LSU fan and wears her LSU cheerleader outfit every chance she gets and it's about wore out.

Every night when I put her to bed, she wants me to sing the tiger song,"Hey Fighting Tiger" or also known as "victory for LSU." When I get to the part where it says "make mike the tiger stand right up and roar" she loves to yell roar and she loves to scream L S U at the end of the song where it goes "victory for LSU." Her favorite part though is chanting T I G E R S TIGERS! at the end.

I am a life long LSU fan and I bleed purple and gold but this makes it all worth it. Anyone else have any proud LSU daddy moments?

Made me tear up, brother. My 5 year old daughter was/is the same way and did almost the same haha. It's what its all about.

ETA - Congratulation on the adoption(s)!

I have a 6, almost 7 year old boy and when I put him to bed at night I read him "The Alphabet, by Mike the Tiger" and sing the alma mater or the fight song to him as his lullaby. Can't wait for the day when he is really able to comprehend and cheer for the Tigers with me. This Saturday will be the first game we actually get to watch together (his bedtime is around 7 pm) and I couldn't be more excited. Hope LSU can make it an even more cherishable memory!

I read Goodnight Tigers to my 2 y/o daughter, but I need to start singing the alma mater to her!

We live 1.5 hours from Auburn, and there are a ton of alums in the area. I sent my daughters to school in LSU outfits today.

I’ve got some bonus points for nearly converting my wife. She hasn’t been to oxford in several years, but she now has just as much LSU stuff as OM, and wants to go to every LSU game we can. Stil have a few issues during the LSU-OM game sometimes, but we’re going to the game this year, so we’ll see how it goes.

Congratulations! Sounds like you are an awesome Dad.

I'm expecting my first grandbaby at Christmas time. I have already notified my daughter that she will be a Tiger fan (her dad is a Notre Dame fan ). She's going to learn the game of football like I did as a young girl.

Way to go. Be like you and your wife are inspiring. I have three college students at LSU. Parenthood is a long journey. At the end of the day though children are the most important thing we do.

Geaux Tigers!!!

Congratulations to you!

I'm a mommy raising a Tiger fan here in North Carolina. Here are some of my favorite memories:

--I have taken a video of her singing "Hey Fightin' Tigers" while wearing purple and gold on every opening game day since she was 2 (she's 8 now).

--Her first game was when she was 9 months old. My husband works at UNC, and we drove down to watch LSU beat UNC in the Georgia Dome. She was the cutest thing, decked out in her little cheer outfit.

--A couple of years ago, a friend of mine at work wrote "Go Bama" on my back windshield. She cried when she saw it and hasn't spoken to him since. She just glares at him if she sees him in my office.

--She watches every game with me, screaming at bad calls and thinking she can do a better job than the coaches.

--This year she asked to be a Golden Girl for Halloween. We found a pre-game video on YouTube and she's been practicing the arm motions and head nods for weeks.

Enjoy raising your girls as Tiger fans. I have had the best time raising my LSU footfall fan girl, despite living here in ACC basketball world.
