A National Championship buys a head coach three years (or more).

Personally, I'm tired of the constant fan drivel of "fire the coach." If you defend Coach Orgeron, you get the "quit making excuses" line.
But, when it comes to giving Coach Orgeron credit, then all the reverse excuses are made. "It was luck." "It was lightning in a bottle."
Cannot have it both ways. If you give him full blame for this year (which is ridiculous), then give him full credit for 2019. If so, he has at least three years go get the team back in play for an NC.
Absent a complete team meltdown, he'll be (and should be) here through the end of the 2022 season.

Luckily no one in power cares what you think

Quit trying to act like you actually know anything. The majority of your takes are horrendous or an obvious troll at this point.

You’re an idiot if you think winning a national title gives you a pass for two straight .500 (or worse) seasons.
What’s painstakingly obvious is the program is in free fall. If O can’t right the ship and pull of a 10 win season, he’s toast. He’s a PR nightmare that isn’t producing on the field. And THAT he really does have no one to blame for except himself.

In 1976 it did but this is 2021 my man.

Woody didn't hire this buffoon. He has no obligation to O or to himself to validate Joe Alleva's plan B hire.

Oh my goodness, Chin. Let us apologize all over the place for your fatigue over hearing "fire" the coach. We are mighty powerful sorry, sir. What some Rantards have had the temerity to undertake is a look at Eddie's entire career as unfair as that may seem to you. All aspects of it and well, it is just not too good if the goal is to build a championship PROGRAM.
Oh, BTW is the "three-year rule" written on stone tablets somewhere? I would love to know.

Honest question: What have you seen from Orgeron that gives you confidence he can turn things around? The team is a disaster and he, personally, is a trainwreck of bad PR off the field.
I don't give him full blame for this year, nor do I give him full credit for 2019. I think we won in 2019 in spite of him.. rather than because of him. And even though he doesn't get full blame for this year and last, he is the top dog.. it starts and ends with him.

Unless he wins at least 7 games this year, he’s gone.
It seems like everyone knows he’s a fraud, I don’t see how the people in power would believe he could turn the program around at this point. I think they’re well aware that the buyout money will pale in comparison to how much revenue the school will lose if they continue to put this shitty product on the field.

We absolutely can have it both ways. His 2019 success was “luck” “lightning in a bottle” until proven otherwise.
If a person goes out to play golf for the first time in their life and shoots a hole in one, was it luck or are they good at golf? You would arrive at your decision by evaluating the rest of their golfing experience. It’s possible that they hit a hole in one because they are a golf savant. But it’s more likely they got lucky. Especially if they triple bogeys every other hole.
