1982 Florida State-LSU I was at the Earthquake game, the 97 and 07 Florida games, 2000 Tennessee and a ton of others. But this was simply amazing. Had to be there to understand.
Our only win vs Florida State in the 5 game 1979-1983 series that was put together in 1975 when they were coming off 0-11 and 1-10 seasons.

Something about ultra foggy football games to me is epic. I love that fire works pre game if for the only reason that they create this environment for a few minutes at the beginning of the game.

We all would've been arrested and in the paper if that game and the environment occurred today. The oranges we all threw onto the field and the resulting chaos was epic.

I was there. It was amazing that the students were allowed into the stadium carrying big bags of oranges!

I was there. The most fun I've ever had in Tiger Stadium. As a kid from South Florida with a lot of friends at FSU and after 3 straight losses to them in Death Valley, it was damn sweet to beat them and get a berth in the Orange Bowl in my hometown.

Best game I attended as a child. Other family members were students and had bags of oranges going into stadium. Great game.

Was there as a freshman...with oranges. Memorable nite! Sucked that Tulane came to Tiger Stadium soon after and upset us. We also threw oranges throughout that game. I remember after the game Tulane’s Reggie Reginelli pickup up oranges...taking bites from them..and throwing them into the student section

My freshman year! Couldn’t find bag oranges in BR for days afterward . The smell of orange coming up from the field was unbelievable. Fog so thick we couldn’t see the opposite side of the stadium

Was there also. Does anyone remember the dude that ran on field dressed as Indian and got bombed with oranges. I thought he was going to die.

I was there. Very crazy atmosphere. That fog was insanely thick.

I was 30. Great, great night.
That touchdown by Hilliard at the 23 min mark. I remember that rain of oranges.
Hilliard's run at 1:43, I was on visitor side. I remember Bowden turning toward sideline and he just holds his arms out and looks up at the sky knowing there's nothing they can do to stop this guy.

That was the best "on this date" ever! A big win over a team we never were able to beat...back in the day.
Also we had 3 losses to them later on: 1989, 1990 and 1991.
