A desperate plea to Scott Woodward

Please save LSU basketball and remedy this situation before it is too late. If rumblings are accurate and Wade is cleared by the NCAA, rehire him before someone else does. Weathering a bad PR storm from bringing Wade back trumps trying to revive a soon to be dead program and its fan base after the ensuing damage has already been done.

Woodward is gonna have to prove that he can hire a MBB that will be a good fit at his program. I’ve mentioned previously that Buzz took over a Texas A&M program that was coming off 2 sweet 16s in 3 years and they still may miss the tournament this year in his 5th season there. I want McMahon to succeed but there aren’t any positive signs as of now.

As much as I’d love it this is a pipe dream. Will Wade would have raucous support from the fanbase but he’d always have to wonder about the administration stabbing him in the back again.
Once his name is cleared he can go anywhere he wants and have a fresh start at a place with an administration that will support him.

Woodward isn't going to fire MM to bring back WW, and even if that did happen, I don't think that series of events gets WW back. That bridge is burned.

I don’t see any way Will Wade would ever return to LSU and I can’t say I blame him the way they treated him. He will work his way back up and eventually get a power 5 job somewhere

wade will be cleared very soon and maybe hired by ole miss or vandy (he lives in nashville now). he would have no reason to return to LSU

Wade is going to end up at ole miss and he is going to dump MM every time we play, probably use all his time outs and just generally wreck us.

Hire a good coach, give it a few years.
To get to the top LSU is going to have to throw some big money at a proven coach.
I will say that Will Wade was refreshing and a spark to LSU basketball but after the FBI tape the program lost steam and was trending downward. Without the allegations LSU basketball would be in the final 4 mix.

now he’s a Bruce Pearl-level coach apparently. Why don’t you do yourself a favor and compare their records and tournament runs in their respective 5 years at each school. Will Wade has been coaching for 9 years and made it out of the second round ONCE and you’re pretending he’s some Bruce Pearl level coach
