The current coaching staff can all get fired tomorrow, I don’t care. I was against Orgeron being hired and I was against Ensminger being OC.

This has nothing to do with that from my end. It apparently does on your end.

Not against a schedule that we had this year

In 2012, we beat an 11-win A&M with the Heisman Trophy winner and an 11-win South Carolina.

We lost to an 11-win Florida by a TD, an 11-win Clemson by a point, and the national champions by 4.

You think this year's schedule was still tougher?

So you only occasionally meander over here and drop your shitty takes?

That's good to know.

True. 2013 was underachieving because of a less than stellar defense and 2012 was marred by that meltdown in the 4th quarter of the Peach.

I like this year's team. It has come together nicely in spite of multiple injurys and a lack of big stars in the skill positions, and Cole Tracy has shined.

I assume you discounted the 2007 national championship, since we lost two games. What with the regular season record being all that matters and so forth

This would only be true if coach O was the coach.

Also in those years under a different regime we could score points on alabama.

Both 2012 and 2013 would beat the 2018 squad about 35-10

You people need someone to break up your mutual masturbation session over here. This has become the worst board on this site.

There’s like 4 threads that get repeated 30 times a day. It’s a clusterfrick.

THIS. In 2012, LSU was literally a busted coverage screen pass away from going back to the NC. That team would plow this years LSU. We may go to a quasi “NY6” bowl game, but we are nowhere near being in the NC race.

I actually say True.

In 2012, we we're one of the favorites. It was expected for us to do well, and we actually underachieved some preseason rankings. This year many people, including our own fans, expected a 6-6 or 7-5 season. So I place this as overachieving and with a win in a NY6 bowl, a better success.

So. The 2006 team was maybe the best LSU team ever and didn’t even play for the title.

Success in a given year is judged relative to the other teams that year.

This narrative about 6-6 I saw nowhere outside of a few on this board. Vegas set the win total at 7.5. All the preseason publications I saw had us at 8-4 or 7-5.

Those preseason predictions were based on a tough schedule (which didn't quite live up to expectations), and questions about Orgeron and Ensminger (whether anyone wants to admit it or not).

It's funny how many fans dismissed preseason projections as meaningless a few months ago, but now the entire season is being judged based on what they said.

True. Definitely best season.
2012 was a much stronger team though.

Sucks that we now think a season where we lost 29-0 against Alabama was a good season

Apathy trickle down effect.
