LSU at #3 with +1000 odds to win the college World Series behind Arkansas +500 and Tennessee +800. If we are as bad as a lot of people on this site say why are we still ahead of Clemson current #2

Because the NCAA baseball betting public is made up of mostly SEC brethren and swamp rats love to gamble? 
I honestly can’t tell you why we have the third best odds to win it. Suckers bet for anyone who would place that bet at those odds. I’d throw my hat in the ring if those odds were +20000.

I would never bet on the winner of the college World Series because it has a lot of luck involved but was just stating the facts.

They probably looked at the SOS the first 4 or 5 weeks but haven’t watched any of the games. Sucker bet.

LSU isn't nearly as bad as this board thinks. And at the same time, they are in danger of missing the tournament if they can't win some games.
But reality is:
We lost a series to a top 10 team in extra innings.
We got swept by #1 in 3 very close games(one in extra innings)
We lost another series to a top 10 team by blowing a late lead.
Basically this team is capable of turning it around and has the talent to make a real run if they get it together.
But they are running out of time. Also, +1000 on LSU is a terrible bet.
But reality is:

Idiots keep betting it. No reason to make the odds longer. It’s no secret indicator that this lsu baseball team is 3rd most likely to win it all unfortunately.

Its because they probably have alot of exposure naturally to lsu. Lotta fans in the state bet on us to win it all because we have the most fans, and because we are coming off a title. So theyll keep the number down to limit exposure. Last year ole miss was 3rd to 4th best odds halfway through the season.

I'm all for keeping the faith to make a regional and perhaps make a little run. But, I aint touching that bet.
