I’d be surprised if head to head carried over five top 25 wins and a winning record against Q1/Q2 teams but we’ll see. If last night cost them Deggs only has himself to blame for bullpen management.

I expect ULL to be in because of series wins over USM and Coastal I currently see it as 4 bid Sun Belt, But there’s a world where Texas state and Troy get in and they don’t. I’d be shocked if all 5 are taken.

I’m not sure who’s on the committee this year if it’s the same group as last years but it’ll be interesting to see.

Where are you seeing that?

It was discussed behind a Thursday Bubble Watch Paywall.

Southern conference may steal a bid as well with top ranked Mercer being eliminated with an RPI of 27.

They are the 2 seed. Have just as far to go for the bid as ever other team in swac

Southern lost the 2nd game of their conference tournament and will have to win several games in a row to make it and Bethune cookman is a good bit better than the other teams in that conference
D1 Baseball has ULL as a bubble team and has stated that Texas St. could steal their bid. Don’t shoot the messenger, I’m just passing the information I’ve seen. No they weren’t a last four in but they aren’t going to give the Sunbelt 5 bids and there are other Sun Belt teams right on that bubble on the outside that have a winning record for ULL.

Troy is also in the mix depending on tournament performance.

ULL's in a pretty decent spot for an at-large

They def have a chance, they probably will with the series wins over southern Miss / coastal Carolina. They need to win tonight.

I think it may come down to a committee decision between them and Troy.
I wonder when the last time that has happened if ever.

Usually alongside LSU there is some combination of ULLL / McNeese / SELU / Tulane / La Tech / Nw state / southern / Grambling

ULLL 2-1 in tournament (today’s coastal game is big / watch out for Texas State stealing their bid)

McNeese 0-1 vs Lamar in championship series

SELU / Nwstate / Grambling eliminated

Tulane didn’t make their tournament

La Tech lost game 1 in tournament

Southern 1-1 in conference tournament

Legit question.

I know it's not common that you win the tourney in basketball and not make it back the next year. Have no idea about baseball.

Both Mississippi state and Ole Miss in 2020,2021 or whatever seasons it was that they won.

Texas am and Virginia were week 1 #1 and #2 last year and both did not make post season it isnt that uncommon in baseball. (Yes I know not relevant to your champion to not make it question)

Was it ever reported why he was not available? Was it he just wasn’t up to it, sick, injured?

His back tightened up on him in warmups. Honestly isn't that uncommon of a thing when it comes to smaller pitcher injuries.

you forgot Brown

Correct. Added, def a mistake. Also Cowan,

All should return.

Curriel is going to be top 16 overall pick.

Stanfield I think is out of Eligibility.
Milam could technically come back but hes got a lot of elite traits that I think MLB front office will take earlier than expected.

Longest LSU Off-season in a long time.

Official football countdown.

I guess the softball team has a super regional this weekend and the golf team made nationals in California.

(Trying to do that early call reverse jinx post)

Let’s all have a good time watching Milam and Curriels final tiger ABs.
already wishful thinking to be hopeful for a sec tournament run but Schmidt and Serna injuries were the nail in the coffin officially for me.

If there was ever a chance it would be the batters coming up in the 9th with Arrambide, Curiel, Milam.

It’s easy to be negative. This pitchers stats are really good, and the batters he’s facing hasn’t necessarily been the top of the line batters for this 30-27 overall team.

The difference in the outcome of this game may be a freshman with not that much play time making the correct play mentally but messing it up physically. And honestly vs a good Auburn team with an injury bug medicore lsu team I can take that.

LSU playing like a 1 seed in the Cancun Regional

I might have to go cheer on the Tigers in that regional.

I know what you’re saying but if you go look at ace pitchers of teams who are locked into hosting pitch counts in this tournament the last 5-6 years. It has been lower than 80.

It also doesn’t help auburns case their starters have taken a bigger workload than most other teams so you’d think they would want to give their guys a little bit extra rest.
