Also they are playing Houston at NRG on Labor Day weekend, so not 8 home games either
5 home SEC games though.

Home game schedule looks pretty easy with Ole Miss being the biggest challenge.
True.
But man that is an awful home schedule from a fan interest standpoint. Outside of Ole Miss, there isn't a traditional SEC power who comes to BR. No Alabama or Auburn. No Tennessee. No Florida or Georgia at home. Not even A&M at home.
I bet if you polled LSU fans to rank the SEC opponents from most to least interest in seeing them play in Tiger Stadium, Vanderbilt, Missouri and Arkansas would be very near the bottom of the list. Oklahoma probably would too just because LSU has very little history with Oklahoma.

Shoot I’m always down to take myself, my little girls(who are die hard lsu fans already) and their pawpaw. Let me know

Yeah next year's home schedule is awful. Aside from Ole Miss, the only team we have any sort of history with is Arkansas and that's only because they've been in the SEC for 30 years now. But they're a shell of what they used to be.

Yeah, a lot of TBA's. Pretty sure that will not stay in that order.

Y'all are mean. Let the fan be a fan and get overly excited with a trigger happy typing finger

I am extremely optimistic about our chances next year with key players returning and critical additions via Portal King...

Saturday, Aug. 28 Northwestern State Tiger Stadium (Baton Rouge, LA)
I know schedules are made way in advance but there has to be some way to swap NW St with another team. They are literally the worst team in FCS. They lost to a NAIA team, lost to LA Tech 80-6 and are going to finish winless this season. They still haven't recovered from their coach resigning and the remainder of the season being cancelled in 2023. They've won 1 game since Nov 5, 2022.

I guess you just missed the "TBA" next to almost every opponent's name. SEC doesn't announce the conference schedule for next year until this season is finished. We only know the SEC opponents and which games will be home / away based on the new scheduling format.
The only opponents that we know the actual game date for are the 3 non-conference games.
And we don't even have 8 home games. We have 5 SEC home games, 2 non-conference home games, and Houston in a "neutral site" game at NRG Stadium in Houston. We only play 7 games in Baton Rouge next year.
Considering Arkansas is one of our 3 "permanent rivals" again with the new schedule format and we play them on rivalry week in Fayetteville this year, its probably a safe bet that Arkansas will be our rivalry week game next year in Baton Rouge.
