LSU Tigers

Projected final record: 7-5, 3-5

quote:

Seven wins — maybe eight — feels like the right number for the Tigers this season. Brian Kelly inspires confidence as a head coach, even during his first campaign with the "big boys" in the SEC, but the back end of the slate is treacherous and there's a chance LSU could lose its final three SEC games in November (Alabama, at Arkansas, at Texas A&M). If this helps, the Tigers are closer to an 8-4 finish than 6-6 if we're projecting here. This roster has obvious talent, but the schedule — and questions at quarterback with Jayden Daniels starting and Myles Brennan walking away — likely keeps this team away from contending in the division.

Pate, we love you bud. But this ain’t it.

I think he’s 1 game shy. 8-4/9-3

So do they just take Vegas win total projections and predict that? Really going out on a limb there 247.

Man with how much A&M gets hyped in the media, you would have to think that if Jimbo was an investment advisor, he'd be arrested for defrauding investors on overvalued stock.

well .... Vegas is doing the same thing basically. Going through the schedule and predicting wins and losses. Only reasons they would have a number close to the betting line unless they are wildly optimistic or pessimistic.

7-5 still gets me the win on LSU +6.5. Obviously I hope we win them all though.

We are a OLine and Secondary away from a 10+ win season. That’s a big hope and a prayer considering that comprises half of each respective side of the ball. We won’t know what we have on the OLine until we get into October. The secondary could benefit from the front but can we cover well enough to get turnovers is the big question.

This is Jimbo’s last season in College Station. Which sucks because A&M could really be an annoying little brother if they hire a competent coach next

If we had a top notch center, some more LB depth, we’d be a top team. But those are very important positions.

How do you figure that?

You guys gotta take the P&G glasses off. I like the optimism but Pate and Vegas are looking at variables here. There's too many question marks on LSU's team for it all to come together on top of an absolutely brutal gauntlet schedule. If it all comes together? Sure, we'll see a big surprise season. How many times do you see an NCAA team with the amount of questions put it all together like LSU currently has? 7-8 win team is reasonable anything above it it is overachieving this season. Vegas is not influenced by emotion like Tiger fans are. They look at everything from data and they see LSU has too many question marks to be a high win team. They'll answer some of the questions but probably not all and if they do answer all, team is going to surprise. It's just highly unlikely to happen.

Pate loves Jimbo and a&m. He has them as a national title dark horse. I don't get it either.
9-3/8-4 headed their way

Eta 7-5 for LSU isn't farfetched. The schedule is demanding. Need Auburn and Florida to underperform.

These guys are making conservative predictions based on the last two years and the overhaul BK had to do with the roster. We’re on the right path no doubt and BK will get us to the playoffs in 1 or 2 years. Our OL, QB, and LB’s are real question marks. They could surprise us or could pull us down. Not much proven depth anywhere but WR and DL.

I think he is right on. Much closer to 8 than to 6 wins. But road games in Arky and Tex A&M along with bama points to 3 likely losses.
Auburn on the road and miss st. at home are our 2 most likely wins in conference.
Ole miss, Tennessee, and Florida are our swing games. We are entree than Florida, but this one is in the swamp. I think we still beat florida, but Tennessee and ole miss outscore us. Landing on 7-5. Could see us beating ole miss if their offense isn’t as good as it should be with dart. Which would land us with 8 wins.

It’s a very realistic prediction. I want to say more but situation being what it is can’t really argue it.

Variables that are 30-60 days old. Vegas has this one wrong, very wrong.

clickbait. No one knows a thing at this point.

Let's just watch the games, then we'll all know.
