When they try to make it a dance party instead of a football game, it kills the environment. The band is what gets people amped up, not some overhyped song blasted over the PA speakers.
Instead, some person that isn’t that talented is being allowed to kill the mood in the stadium to live his dream or. Bring a DJ.
Woodward is perfectly fine killing all traditions as long as it makes him money. That is the sad part.

Sounds like everyone hates the pipped in music and Scott is going to find out real quick.
There are times for it. But not enough to hire a DJ.
Why would any Band Director want to come here now knowing we have a DJ playing half the time????

We better install a new speaker system…was at Ole Miss for GTech game and oh holy shite…DJ and a SERIOUS sound system. Hilarious when they’d pan to the all white crowd while some rap music played, everyone all cringely white people dancing. Good times.

Does TAF appropriate any funds to the band? Assuming not - should get a fund going to double the size and quality of the golden band and let them run the show. Wouldn’t mind minimal piped in music or dj assistance to supplement - but once a quarter if that

I honestly don't understand the hate other than its untraditional or if you just don't like the music.First off, the band doesn't play the whole time. Also, from the South Endzone, the band is pretty quiet. Maybe those are band issues not an issue with the DJ.I also think the music helps the atmosphere stay excited. How many 3-minute tv timeouts are there where basically nothing is goin on? Perfect time to play music. Finally, it also hypes the players up. If the players like it, that's good enough for me. I had season tickets for years in the mid upper south end zone. That pa guy Dan I believe his name is would not stfu. It was non stop advertisements. Drive me nuts Never go back.

Some Arkansas fans were praising the music we play. Said all the players must love the music and that Arkansas needs to get with the times.
I'm not saying I agree, but if it helps in recruiting and the players like it, I'm fine with it.
