One of my favorite plays ever was that reverse call to deangelo. That faked everyone out including Nick. I'm curious did Les ever run that play before or after that game?

I don't remember ever seeing it again.
I was at that game and the crowd was electric!

Crowton ran something similar with Trindon holiday a couple times in his earlier years.

I love the 4th down play that Lane ran against Auburn. Direct snap to Jones, who hands it off to Leavitt, who fakes a reverse to (Wilson?) & then hits Trey’Dez for a nice gain and a 1St down. Very well designed play!

A real downer that we didnt score on that play and he went out right at the goal line really took the wind out of the perverbial sails and the crowd for not scoring if you ask me!

Agree. That was one of my most favorite games ever in Tiger Stadium.

I had the best seats that I’ve ever had for that game. The weather was perfect, just a great day and win!

It was a bit odd that he just weakly ran out of bounds. He had a cutback lane at the goal line with a defender out of position and the only other defender in the area would have had to fight through two LSU player to make the tackle...which he would not be able to.
Then again, it was a TE carrying the ball, so I guess you can't expect him to be a good open field runner

Les did give us some exciting games.

Never before or since. It was the only one we ever saw from the secret playbook.

I don't ever recall Les running that play again.
I compiled a list of Les's trick plays at: All Those Groovy Les Miles Trick Plays. It's included.

D.Peterson had a good role as a pass-catching TE but he was so soft. Lower his shoulder…not happening

Correct. DeAngelo should've swapped arms with the ball and trucked him.
