10). It was Victor Jones. Harvey Williams slipped and hurt his knee at the 6 yard line after a seven yard run put him over the 1,000 yard rushing mark for the season. Jones got the call on the next three handoffs after Harvey's agonizing injury and ran it in for a TD on 3rd down. I was there

It was Eddie Fuller

Ok, it was Eddie Fuller. Somehow I remember it being Victor Jones after Harvey Williams' disaster. But I wasn't a young man then and that was 38 years ago! My memory has just about left the building.

**I haven't looked at the responses! Keep in mind I was born in 83 and wasn't a full fledged fan until the Hallman years, so I'll do my best.

Mack Brown was involved in two epic Tulane-LSU games in the 1980s. He was the OC for LSU when Tulane upset the Tigers in 1982 and the HC at Tulane in 1987. He would have been a great hire at LSU in the early 90s.

Off-topic, but LSU & Tulane need to renew their annual rivalry, by hook or by crook. Especially now that Tulane has a good football team.

Whatever it takes, it needs to be done, and make it Thanksgiving weekend

Wrong!! Question should read, “which SEC QB lead his team to ELEVEN straight victories in the decade of the 1980’s?? John Bond.

I swear that man started for Moo U his senior year in HS and his last game was right after he was awarded his PhD (thesis: how to beat the same damn team over and over with the same offense every damn time.).

Gosh dang I thought that kid would NEVER graduate……

Great list of questions!! I got about 50%, not including the one above.

He did. I think one of the four straight wins State had against LSU Bond was injured and Bogalusa native Orlando "Butter" Lundy led them to victory in Starkville.

TK himself tore his ACL in fall camp in 1987. Missed his entire freshman season.
