I seems to be implied that the rule would go into effect for the next school year...meaning that is when the new clock would start. If you are going into your 4th year next school year you now get a 5th year of eligibility. If you exhausted your eligibility under the current (presumably soon to be former) rule - 4 years of eligibility (barring a waiver) - during this school year you don't now get the extra year.

Very interesting for kids at currents programs considering going into a professional draft vs not because they still have leverage with a potential extra season now(via waiting on the passing of this new law).

I think the one thing this shows is Wade isn't willing to settle. He's going to exhaust all options to make sure he gets the best players he possibly can.

Correct, yet many idiots on here are thinking that Wade will be able to get these players, that were left alone because eligibility had run out.
You and I know this, so absolutely WW and LSU know. Yet they still are trying to make themselves believe ww waited on this ruling and will possess some wierd advantage that no one else will have.

I mean thats the focus of every coach I assume. I think people are just curious as what obstacles Wade is going thru atm to where lsu got 1 player thus far om the team. Obviously there are some because of quietness of what is happening. In the end he will win at lsu. Was just asking whats up. People wanna cry on both sides when you ask it.

Of course he is. This is why most people understand that he's just been hired and playing catch up. I have the patience of a chopping block and I'm good. Not sure why some are so impatient. There is still a world of time to go until the roster has to be finalized.

I don't think anybody actually knows. Wade is very particular and he's made statements about not bringing in certain types of guys ever again. I think Graves will be a Tiger and McNeil is a good possibility.
